Is there any news about the extent of the damage yet? I keep thinking about those unstable nuclear rectors....

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake has struck off the northeastern coast of Japan. The national meteorological agency has issued a tsunami advisory. The quake happened at a depth of some 10 km. The warning is meant for the coastal Aomori and Iwate prefectures. The estimated height of the wave is small – about 50 centimeters.

He said 40 hours, the time of the earthquake was outside of that time range, what credit is there to give?

Especially in a situation like this.

Cheers

Oh, I don't know....maybe because he nailed two earthquakes within that 40 hour window....of significant magnitude. And here we are shortly after with another one..I just think he was in tune to something. And per the stars on my post above, so do others.

It's just an opinion....

Sorry, I was not aware of the previous two earthquakes.

Still dont see why he should credit for predicting this earthquake though.

Cheers

It's called "close enough".

I've still seen no confirmation of the two earthquakes within 40 hours (not saying they didnt happen though)

Edit - From scanning that thread there was a 6.7 earthquake during that time.

However this earthquake was a week later. I'd just be skeptical to give that person credit for predicting this earthquake is all.

Cheers

I don't agree either. The 7.1 (which they later downplayed to 6.something) was a close call, this one is definitely out of 40 hours range. C'mon, otherwise he should have said 72 hours or more.
Anyway, i just hope the people of Japan are safe.

how do you figure that?

the prediction was a full week ago for a 7-8 quake to hit within 40 hours?

this is a 6.8 quake 168 hours later.

Just my opinion. In the overall scheme of nature, he was close enough for me. And that's what I stated. For ME.

Christ...I don't want to derail ops thread. It was MY opinion on the matter. I've been known to be wrong lol.....it was my initial feeling when I heard about this new quake. First thing I thought of was the thread I referenced.

Thats all

The problem is that the other guy didn't really predict anything, he simply made a guess based on the Suns activity, and he wasn't even sure whether there was a link between solar flares and Earthquakes. He was just speculating.
