Amazing auroras over Canada from the recent CME shock

Aurora over Canada: The incoming CME shock that was detected very early Monday morning before sunrise, provided a nice treat for Sky Watchers in parts of North America. Olivier Du Tré in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada captured some amazing images including this one. "Red aurora's were going off like CRAZY! I could see RED with the naked eye (which was a first for me)".

Some outstanding photos. Thankyou for posting them.

Im incredibly jealous of those that get to see the aurora on a regular basis and from these photos you can see why. I live in central Scotland and although seeing them isnt a rare occurrence getting the right weather is. The past few times that they would have been visible we've had a thick cloud cover or rain or snow or whatever
