A recent article published in the Ithika journal cites a study performed on average citizens of Berlin testing whether or not people with no exposure to agriculture such as lawyers, doctors, and journalists had glyphosate in their systems. Guess what, they did, and had no idea it was in what they had been eating. Not only did they test positive, but they were found with between 5 and 20 times the “acceptable” limit. While companies such as Monsanto give people lines like,”RoundUp is practically totally non-toxic”, it is most certainly not true. Glyphosate is a poison, extremely deadly for most plants, and quite toxic for people, especially over time. It also not only gets into our blood stream, but can cross the blood barrier and reach your unborn children.

Who needs weed killer when your peeing round up?

Called the wonder herbicide, RoundUp is one of the top-selling herbicides. Made by Monsanto, it is now used on plants that have been genetically engineered to tolerate RoundUp without dying.

This means:

Higher residues of RoundUp in our food chain
Over 90 percent of soy and canola in our food chain are 'RoundUp Ready' genetically engineered to withstand large quantities of RoundUp
Increased RoundUp usage by farmers
More danger to the public

RoundUp Herbicide has been touted by its maker, Monsanto, as safe and environmentally friendly. As such, it has become the most popular herbicide in use today. Advertising by Monsanto has led the public to believe that RoundUp is "safe as table salt," a phrase used quite often by its proponents to describe it.

Studies used for RoundUp's initial registration were fraudulent. There is no indication that these studies have been replaced with other, more valid, studies. The public perception of RoundUp as safe, environmentally friendly, and no more harmful than table salt has impeded the normal scientific study to which a pesticide would normally be subjected. Research grants have been concentrated in the areas of pesticides perceived to be more detrimental to humans.

A study published last week in the peer-reviewed Journal of Applied Toxicology revealed that genetically modified corn containing the genes for Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) is toxic to humans. The study further revealed that the herbicide known as Roundup is toxic to humans, even at small exposures.

You would think that when it gets to the point of finding round up in peoples urine that are in the city that umm maybe it's time to stop but then again you would have to first believe that they care about your health.

I can't wait for nothing to change because of this.

If they're still allowing water fluoridation, they will allow just about anything that's harmful... while SWAT raiding health food markets and stripping vitamins off shelves. How the majority does not see an obvious agenda here is mind boggling.

Least when you guys pee in the bushes, you'll be killing the weeds.

Should probably get some you guys to come over to kill the sand spurs.

Not funny/but funny

No big surprise here, just more proof. A good 80% of what we buy at our grocery stores is poison with little to no actual nutrition. Hell- you can't even trust the organic food at the store isn't GM (or even truly organic).

We have known about this for what?

40 years?

C'mon people. It's time everyone realizes...

THEY WILL NEVER CHANGE UNLESS WE MAKE IT HAPPEN OURSELVES.

Health, freedom... everything is paid for with blood.

If you want to stop Monsanto, you have to make them pay...

Read between the lines.

Well, if it's a safe as table salt, I'd really like to see all the excutives and shareholders of Monsanto take a shot glass of the stuff each, which would at least put them behind their claims. Might as well have some real human trials on the clowns marketing this crap.

Cheers - Dave
