I'm new to ATS and so far I've enjoyed it. The motto for ATS is deny ignorance and I recently came across some ignorance from some people on ATS. You see the bible is God's work. We all know that. Its what He had people of His choosing to write so it could be preached and taught to the whole world so that His most loved creation could learn of Him and worship Him. So they could know of His commandments and follow them. And also to prepare for the second coming of Jesus. To warn of impending disasters to befall man and destroy His creation earth. He wants us to love and obey Him, and to fear Him. Not to worship false gods or prophets. To believe in only Him and only His word. Now these people that i mentioned seem to think that there is these other books that would have God contradicting Himself. Saying things like Jews aren't God's chosen people and He didn't give the land of Israel to the Jews. So i guess I'm just looking for some support on these issues.

So where is your evidence the Bible is gods word? I found it hilarious that you came on here claiming to embrace "deny ignorance" and then spout a bunch of totally unprovable emotional believes about mythical beings...

You're right in a sense....but....
The bible was owned by certain people for a thousand years, while the common people couldn't read or write.
Certain parts were edited and changed(the song i was listening to said change, right when i wrote changed).

Everything you said is true, btw. just pointing out the "counter argument" for something you didn't say. Some things you believe aren't entirely true, entirely is the keyword there.

All he said was there are book that would make you believe God contradicts himself....he doesn't claim other books are wrong, per say.

Like I already said, what he says is 100% correct, how you interpret it is another story entirely. That's not to say the OP didn't interpret wrong....

The sense that this person is right is the fact that to be a Jew is to have a Jewish heart and that means to accept Christ. Interestingly, many people who claim to be Jews do not even believe in Jesus as the messiah at all. Jesus explained that upon accepting him, any person from any nation would then be one of God's people.

This is not a matter of race as we all know that the Jews of today are not the Jews of biblical times.
To think it is a matter of race is defying the very teachings of Christ himself. No matter what path leads you to God, all it takes is the acceptance of the spirit of Christ to receive spiritual salvation... because Jesus knows and keeps up with his people and they are not forgotten as other leaders who claim to be Jews have long since forgotten those they claim to lead.

Surely I'm not the only who believes that the bible is God's only work. And the bible is full of predictions and it makes mention of things that are taking place in our time. I mean how could the people that wrote the bible for God know of these things if God didn'ttell them? God knows all past, present, and future. The things spoke of in the bible about what takes place in our days are spot on. There is no way its fake. There is way to much supporting evidence just in the bible. Not counting the archeological evidence.

You should check out the predictions in the Qu'ran. I got a thread about them somewhere....

OP sounds like either a) a troll, or b) just another religious zealot, in which case, welcome to ATS, we've gotten more or less used to your kind round here.

God didn't write the bible, men did. God didn't decide which books to include in it, men did. God didn't give the land where the state of israel exists to the jews, and they surely aren't his chosen people. BUT even if he did do all of those things there still wouldn't be any real, scientific proof it was the mythological god. Research where half of the stories in the bible come from, they are mostly old pagan stories retold. The movie Zeitgeist is pretty informative.

With no deadline for things to happen, I could make a prediction that one day, a guy called Billy McNibbles will be the first hermaphroditic President. If it happens, people could argue that I was prophetic.

I respect other peoples right to believe whatever they want to believe as far as Religion....but when you start to make statements that include me in what you believe...that is where i draw the line.

You posted that the Bible is GODS work and that we ALL KNOW THAT. Well...that is simply not true. I do not believe that and yet you have lumped me in with what you think EVERYONE KNOWS. Fact is...the Bible saw written by MAN. There is not one solid or even simisolid piece of evidence that it was written by a GOD.

If these words are words of pagan stories then you are living in a farie tale. I'm not here to change anyones mind nor am trying to judge. Because i keep God's word doesn't make me stupid or dumb. And your going to try and tell me that the Israel of today isn't the Israel that God gave to his chosen people is a ridiculous statement. Jerusalem is in Israel and Jerusalem is in the bible. If you don't take my word then read the bible. All of you thats calling me crazy and stupid read the bible. I challenge to read it. Front to back. You can't say you know the bible is fake or false or pagan stories if you haven't read it. Just read The Revelation Of Jesus Christ. Come on read it. I am an AGNOSTIC...but I know my History. There was once a Spring Solstace Holiday and Festival of fertility...Pagan in nature called the The Holiday of ESTER. The Christians changed it to EASTER.

Ever wonder what Baskets filled with grass and eggs and chicks and bunnies has to do with Jesus Christ?....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! They just took his multimillenia year old Holiday and Christianized it and even used basically the same name...ESTER....the Goddess of Fertility....and EASTER...the Christian Bunny Holiday.

The same can be said about the Pagan Winter Solstice now called Christmas....and a few others. Split Infinity
