obama just said that congress doesn't count
the president of the world
the illegal holder of both presidencies
the us and the UN security council
gets his authority from the UN
if we join them in this
(well it was already true when we backed alCIAduh in Libya)
that means our sovereignity has been sold out too

whats that T word again?
the one they hang people for?

I have five generations of my family that have fought, are fighting and have died for this country. You don't have to tell me about what it does to people, I have plenty of experience in that department. I have heard the stories, I have seen the tears and I have witnessed what it does to your mind. I don't need you or your father to tell me about what war does to people. Thanks though.

You are welcome and I hope others here on this thread get the idea too, war is life altering for ever, no going back to being Ward Cleaver.

No more happy days, for what I ask?
Regards, Iwinder

I helped my father fight for his army pension checks for over forty years
turns out some pencil pushers were trying to steal the Metis and abouriginal soldiers pensions
the same metis that were instrumental in earning Canada the world wide reputation
as being among the best of the best

when he won
I put the first check in his hand
the day he died

wheres that rope.

I'm sure one on one, Iran would wipe Canada out...
Thankfully we have our brothers to the south.

Sorry but i have to take slight offense to this post. Being associated with the Canadian military for some time now, we may not always be the most well equipped, but with the level of training and determination I honestly don't think Iran would take us. And if they wanted to try, I know a fair few people that would stand with me to show them we are not all donut eating, Tim Hortons drinking, hockey players. (although i do like a nice double double)

Thanks for the understanding about my father's situation
he drove a suicide shift norton running dispatches in and out of enemy lines
he was a good man
he was not unique

Look:
our men and boys and women and girls are NOT pawns
Iran is not going to invade our shores
we don't need to invade theirs...it ain't right

For what?
Just so some Globalist pansie POGs can get their ends wet?

please search xXxinfidelxXx, I think if you read his first person you'll see what I mean

Ps
Iwinder: yup.

That really sucked.

The way our government treats our vets is disgusting. I'd be rather angry if that was my dad too man. There are thousands of stories out there like that too. From claw backs on pensions to the compensation paid to wounded soldiers today to spraying our men and women with Agent Orange, our government has treated our soldiers with disdain and neglect. Don't get me wrong, I would prefer that our guys and gals never see combat in or because of Iran but that's out of their hands and it looks like it is going to happen. And Harper is one of the biggest supporters of Israel. If it does get to war with Iran, we will be there. Our guys don't get a say in where the fights happen, they just go where they are told and do a pretty good job while there, regardless of the role. And we most often have done it ill equipped. The least they could do is treat them with some level of dignity.

Very well said GAOTU

"Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it" -George Santayana
Here at ATS with our pens and readerwritership we have the ability to see across history and examine it, and an oppourtunity like NEVER BEFORE to reach out and make a stand for understanding and peace.

If we don't get it right now
then we never will

www.globalfirepower.com...

Iran is far more capable militarily than Canada. 10-1 in Manpower, 2-1 in equipment, 2-1 in aircraft, and fairly even Navy. You could argue that we are better trained, but at 10-1 I don't think it would matter all that much.

Truth be known we would give Iran inavders a drubbing in the great white north...no need to stir the southern boys up even.....
But they aint invading!

It Us thats poking the nose of these guys and daring them to come out swinging every patrol of the Gulf, every ppass down the strauts of Hormuz.......
The Isreali sub shadowing off their coasts always armed with Nuclear cruise missiles.....
Three aircraft carriers....threats to put everything on the table one day if they do not do what they are told.....
Economic, and military coercion......24/7 ......
They arent comming here.....we are gonna bomb them back to stone age.....men women children, we dont really care.....
The timetable is written, and the plans are well laid....
All we await is the right moment when the excuses will be valid...the bombs will be delivered....that has been decided.....
harper will send the airfarce...maybe a couple squadrons maybe just one...
The navy a couple antisubmarine pickets( DEs ) and the suply ship probabluy....
Troops will be used in place in afghanistan because theyll be needed when it starts.....
Thats about all we have.....
The rest is for the north against russia.
and of course anti submarine patrols and coast rescues and such.....

I am ashamed of Harper as a Canadian he has turned to be quite the war monger, and his little Libyan victory Photo OP costs nearly $800000 or more.
