Overall, the study found that among all the states that have held Republican primaries so far, the average turnout was 11.5 percent of the voting age
population, down from 13.2 percent in 2008 and 12.2 percent in 2000.

You need to realize that in all the states that have held primarys in most cases over 75% of registered voters HAVE NOT VOTED !
So that means, lets say if 25% of registered voters voted in a state, the winner of that states primary is only getting
5 to 10% of that states registered voters.
Don't believe me ? Check voter turnout for each primary already held.
Voters are fed up with both partys !
You think it's getting harder to pick a winner, just wait.
