I know the direct discussion is about the history books, but nothing has really stayed with me as much about World War II history as when I saw an American WWII graveyard for the first time.

Compared to the German ones I had seen, worlds apart. Tells you almost everything you need to know almost about German/American history books.

To be honest, if it had not been for the sacrifices of the red army, hitler would have been able to take Britain. The red army killed something like 9/10 German soldiers. So maybe they have a point.

I don't think that is true because Hitler tried with Britain in 1940 , and failed, before invading Russia in 1941.

I agree that the eastern front was the killing ground of the german army though.
