You should move to Germany!
Best decision you could make owning a monster like that! (And that means a lot because I don't like Japanese cars)

It is not a monster yet, it has a ways to go.

I do love the AWD though and I can honestly say it is the most fun car I have ever owned.

Would love to take it to Germany though

I've been 175 in a GTO 6.0. It was thrilling. Got very interesting at about 150-160 when the car felt like it was floating/hovering over the road. I always say youre going fast when the lines on the road go from dashed to solid. Lol

Fastest I've been was 260 kph (160 mph) in a Honda NSX as a passenger. That's quite thrilling!

I have actually driven several times at speeds around 190-200 kph (110-120 mph). Fastest I've done myself was 220 kph in a Ford Focus (that's 135 mph), and that was in Germany where it was allowed. Getting a speeding ticket at such speeds is not something I want

Around 115-120MPH in a 97 Infiniti I30 T. Was on my way to class, and was running a bit late. It could of went faster, but I didn't want to lose my license if I got pulled over(which thankfully I didn't).

The fun thing with my Corvette is that due to the pop-up headlights i can only reach the highest speeds during the day. So even though i live in Germany, i can't use a clear Autobahn at night to go at max speed. The headlights take away some speed

I think it was during a public Race at the Salzburgring where i managed around 280 km/h (something around 175 mph) it was quite exciting

147 On my CBR600rr

two years later I got my Aprilia RSV Mille and had to go break the record.

Maxed out at 156 across a dam, she had speed left but I ran out of road. Its a big V twin so its not really made for high speed. A four cylinder superbike is better if top speed is what your after.

Nice thread! Also, interesting answers... half of which have actually done what they said... the other half "wish" they went as fast as they claim.

I dont know *exactly* how fast I was going, because once you hit 100+, you really shouldnt have your eyes fixed on the speedo. You're watching the road.
As mentioned before, speeding is illegal, and I wouldn't do such a thing... but if I were to speed, I would have done between 130-140 in a 98 Taurus SHO on a long straight-away in Nebraska. Im told the 3rd gen SHO governs at 160, but getting there takes more stones than I had............

130 mph down the southern motorway out of Auckland in a 1984 toyota celica.

It was a wicked rush.

There used to be a large BUMP in the north western motorway just over the causeway... I'd regulary hit it at 110 mph+ and get all for wheels of the car several inches off the ground...

Good times... Good times...

There is a country where you can drive full speed at certain designated roads.
They are called Autobahn and you can find them in Germany.

One night I was driving back from Knoxville to Johnson City alone on the interstate and I was going a little over 100 for I don't know how long before noticing it and realizing it would probably be wise to slow down. In a 93 Honda Civic with no special work done to it, hell the thing was falling apart lol, but it was driving smoothly at that speed, I didn't even realize I was going THAT fast. The speed limit on most of that interstate seems to be 70, only two weeks ago I got a ticket for going 71 on it in the 55 part, I honestly didn't realize it had changed to 55 though, this was in my 98 ford escort zx2 - which according to my wife, I was going over 100 when I was driving to Knoxville the last time...

120 mph straight into a telephone poll. Wouldn't recommend it.

Once upon a time, a silver Pontiac (which I still drive) went as fast as its speedometer would indicate in a bridge tunnel in the Hampton Roads area around 4 in the morning. Even with speedometer maxed, there was room left on the tachometer before the RPMs where HP would peak. But I wasn't quite brave enough to push it much further. Anyways, no crosswinds (obviously - it's a tunnel, duh!), clear roadway, perfect visibility to see whether there was any traffic (none), and it was like being on rails. Smooth. Not only that, but coasted down to more legal speeds before exiting the tunnel part. (Cops tended to wait at the end of the tunnel section where there's a blind shoulder past the tunnel exit.)

Would I try it again? Probably not. Not for any other reason than I believe they have cameras in there now. Not to mention my wallet isn't big enough to cover that kind of thing. (Other than legal aspect, no big whoop. Considering all the factors with a new and well maintained car at the time, well maintained section of roadway, paying full attention and keeping the car in a straight line wasn't that dangerous. I've seen scarier footage of driving on the Autobahn where such speeds are legal.)

That's the story I have to tell at least. Leave it up to you guys to decide whether it's true.

I was reminded of this today because of something

I just got my new "hog" today
After getting everything ready for a test run
I hit 15 mph .
I'm gonna open her up and hit the top 25-30

Its an XB-502 E-bike

In car only hit 65 cause that's the limit where I drove

I went 135ish one time in my Z32.

On a nearby very straight and flat highway. Z32s can supposedly all go 155 on the stock engine and limiter, turbo and non turbo alike. My window was messed up at the time so right around 120 the top started to pull out away from the car due to the pressure difference. At 135 the wind and noise became too much and the window was bending so the top was about 3 inches away from the trim. I was afraid if I went any faster it was going to snap and send glass in my eyes so I gave up. I have since changed that door and now I feel like I could probably put it through proper paces but no longer feel its necessary. Its really hard to push the limits on these things.

Most people find it hard to push the limit on anything they have, though I can certainly see why you did not want to go any further. Broken glass to the eyes always makes a bad day worse.

I'd love to find a nice 300. I'd like the turbo, though. I raced a 300 last week in my 1991 Thunderbird 5.0 with an Eaton M112. The 300 didn't stand a chance and I felt kinda bad. Some of the most fun cars I've driven were Nissans. 240SX, 300 Turbo, 350, 2012 GT-R... I'd like to add all of them to my collection eventually.
