Obama Vows $1B Proposal Would Create ‘Renaissance of American Inventiveness’

Looks like another Halayoula Hail Mary project is in the works !!

I wonder who gets rich this time at our expense ?

This time he's touting setting up 15 "Institutes for Manufacturing Innovation" around the country.
(There it is ... "THEY" will get the money first, not any average citizens)

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama traveled to an election swing state Friday to promote a proposed $1 billion government program he believes would improve the nation’s manufacturing industry.

Obama delivered a speech at the Roll-Royce Crosspointe jet engine disc manufacturing plant in Petersburg, Va., to talk about the proposed National Network for Manufacturing Innovation.

This network would set up 15 Institutes for Manufacturing Innovation around the country. These institutes were part of Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget proposal. [color=cyan]However, the administration will immediately put in place a $45 million “pilot institute” without congressional authorization, with the location to be decided through a competitive process.

Hmm.. sounds like the same program the Soviets used.. to build "innovative cities" or centers of exclusively innovative scientific research for use to the general good of the people. We all know how that turned out.

I'd say to Obama.... invest that money in current technological institutions?!? .. That's what they're there for!!! IMO a billion more to say... MIT, is far better spent there than at a "innovative manufacturing center" (aka .. Union controlled facility)
