(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama traveled to an election swing state Friday to promote a proposed $1 billion government program he believes would improve the nation’s manufacturing industry.
Obama delivered a speech at the Roll-Royce Crosspointe jet engine disc manufacturing plant in Petersburg, Va., to talk about the proposed National Network for Manufacturing Innovation.
This network would set up 15 Institutes for Manufacturing Innovation around the country. These institutes were part of Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget proposal.
