Weirdly many people on my Facebook news feed have statuses about trying to balance broomsticks. I was thinking why in the world our multiples of my friends trying this.
Seemingly the most informative article I have read about this:
news.discovery.com...

I think the balancing is more do to multiple attempts as opposed to the moon. However, my dad a few years back was able to balance the eggs for several hours.

I saw a post like this a week or two back, so I am sure solar flares have nothing to do with it. I was amazed so many people still use brooms

Just tried it with two brooms. They're old and used (ones in the vids look pretty new) and I could one of them to stand, but not with out playing with it awhile and finding its center of gravity.

I call hoax on the grounds that I think these people are simply balancing broomsticks and it has nothing to do with the flares.

I know some aren't a fan, and I am undecided myself, but Dutchsinse has a vid on it, and it makes sense to me, more so than radiation or polar shift.

Yeah, there was a thread about this a while back. It is a common parlor trick, just do a search with any Internet search engine online.

SO, not a hoax.....just a trick. And physics. (Although the guy that uploaded the video may be having a laugh at everyone's expense?)

Has nothing to do with any "gravity", and especially not a thing to do with Solar radiation.

Here:

Broomageddon has begun...

I commented on the woman in the video, said it sounded like she was reading from a script. The OP told me it is his mother, and his video......

So. *shrug*

No, No, No

No, brooms have been doing that forever, well not forever, ever since those type of brooms came into existence. I tried it with my ratty old wooden broom, the one that I use to ride around on, didn't work.
