Hello ATS, I have been following this forum and have decided to get more interacted with it, but the major thing that led me to conspiracy theories was my family. My family members have had various backgrounds and agendas, and a few of them know some stuff. But first I just want to start out with me.

I am just thirteen, to start it off. Just because I am young doesn't mean I am not aware of the world around me. I love politics. In response to the majority of the threads on here, I want Ron Paul to win in 2012, very bad. I have no idea what to do with Iran, as I know something is wrong but I have always thought war is inevitable. I have a big dislike for China, I have no problem with Chinese people, just the government. Other then that, I play basketball and my favorite president was JFK. I am a Baptist Christian, but I will not let that play a role in a thread that has nothing to do with it, stuff like that makes me mad and causes pointless flame wars. I am open to the idea of aliens, but will only truly believe this with a disclosure or rock solid evidence. I am also a Republican.

Now my family, I am going to start off with the big one. My grandfather used to work for Area 51, but he never talked about it. I only know because I overheard him talking about it one day, and when I confronted him about it he was visibly shaken, and only said he worked on planes. I thought this was really neat, since I had known about the secrets of Area 51 then, and I will post threads about what he did there if I ever find out, I really want to know since he seemed nervous when I ask him, and I feel a little scared and jittery typing about it.

My father is a Baptist Pastor, but he is not bland or plane. He loves Religious and Political conspiracies, and always weighs in on them. He, unlike my grandfather, is willing to have conversations about theories with me, and we sometimes even discuss Ufology, talking about the Nephilim and other references to them in the bible. I have resolved that it is truly demons, but I have not looked into that topic that much.

My mother is one I have a problem with, because I think she was always caught up in the political games of Democrats are evil, Repubs are good. She is an American homer, always justifying any action America does, on anything, and she likes fox news. My Grandmother ( deceased, God bless her) said she likes Glen Beck, and that sickened me to my stomach, and I think it is just that side of the family. My mother is a good woman, but politically confused. In everything.

My other Grandfather served in Vietnam, but doesn't talk about that much either. I do remember him talking about those orbs in the sky that fired at NVA and USA, I never looked into that much, but always thought that was interesting. I feel like I could learn a lot more about the military, and what really happens without all the Hollywood dramatic we are always good stuff.

My other family members don't have much of a weigh in, my sister doesn't care and my other Grandmother recently had a stroke, but I still have a pretty unique family.

So thats about it, I will hopefully post more as I go along, and be able to weigh in on some topics

Welcome to ATS.

The way you write, you sure don't seem like your 13. You seem very mature for your age and it seems your parents brought you up right.

Best wishes to you.

Can't wait to see the Juicy details on Area 51.

Good Luck.

AboveTopSecret is much like a theme park with many, many rides, so with that said...
Here's a few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret, also known as ATS, the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.

*** Please be sure to be at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward), and act like an 'civil' adult. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

*** Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your all on. You should be mentally fit, stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented that may be contrary to your own.

*** Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might think or expect. Be aware you also might end up learning something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride.

*** Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

*** Please have fun! Be aware if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, intentionally spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is for your safety, & also for those both young and old on the ride with you.

So buckle up, keep your arms within the ride's comfort zone, have fun and "Deny Ignorance"...!

I have a 14 year old son and you sound similar to him in many things.
Some stuff on here can be pretty mature for your age.
Stay away from weirdos.
May God bless you and yours!
