Special ammo for shooting zombies

This really deserves its own thread. I did not search it. But here goes.

I have spent hours wandering around the gun store, reading all the ammo boxes, trying to find the zombie ammo. Some of the boxes have turkeys on them. Some other birds, ducks , deer. But no zombies, until now...

It says zombies only, if they were not real, why make special ammo?

They don't make unicorn ammo, or flying monkey loads?

I saw these on reddit .. they really are a novelty .. just like the zombie survival kits that include REAL weapons... it's something you put in a case on display at your house ..

Well, if they are not real, the guys that came up with the idea are marketing geniuses.

They invented a whole new market for their product, not existing before.

If you truly believe in Zombies, there's this bridge I know of...and it's for sale!

You could mount those Zombie Guns from there and make a stand.

FYI some marketing genius at Hornady came up with the idea to take the poorly selling V-Max low-powered Critical Defense ammo, throw a green tip on it, and rename it Zombie- Max. They nearly doubled the price and now gun stores can't keep it in stock. Make no mistake, the only thing special about the ammo is the box, that man is a marketing genius.

I will admit to buying a couple of boxes of .223 when I saw my gunsmith unboxing it when it first came out. I've got one loaded 30 rounder P-mag for the BCM AR-15 I keep in the corner

Smart company to make some extra money off of all the zombie Apocalypse nuts out there.

Truth is, IF there were zombies, no special ammo would be needed. A hollow point 9mm will penetrate a skull just fine.
