Are Whites More Discriminated Against Than Blacks?

In this thread I've seen everyone blamed for the plight of the White Man. Various races, women, and Jews.

It reminds me of this guy I used to know who blamed everyone for his short comings. He didn't have a better position work wise because of "Minorities and Women".

The strange thing was - there were NO minorities or women at his office. NONE.

He also had plenty of money to pursue more education.

What was the issue? HIMSELF. He was an angry drunk, blamed everyone else, never made much effort, your run of the mill loser.

There is little to stop anyone from getting ahead if they truly want to. There are cheap schools out there, community colleges, etc. Start there. Start at the library if you have to. And then WORK your way up.

Stop blaming others for your OWN problems.

And these White Men who just love to preach self sufficiency - as well as their constant retorts of "stop playing the victim" - I find it funny that they turn around and do the same things.

The days of your free ride are OVER. Now you too will have to *work* instead expecting a free ride or easy job just because you are white.

Yes, I know it's hard. The rest of the world has had to live with it forever - and now - so do you.

What is wrong with holding everyone to the same standards?? Encourage everyone to do their best. Leave out the sob stories that are used to get a leg up and work your ass off.

Everything I was going to post was said right there^^ Equal rights is equal rights. No one should get "minority" status.. it just means that the "minority" now have special rights and how is that equal?

So Native's getting free post secondairy education is not a free ride?? I was born in this country and therefore I am "Native" why do others get post secondairy education for free and I do not? Because my ancestors may have did bad things? So does that mean the children, grandchildren, and so on of current day murders, rapists and so on should have less rights then the ancisters of their victims?

I am not bashing Native's - this is just one example I have had to face personally. I am all for equal right - but they have to be equal. I do not mind working hard.. but I expect the person next to me to work equally as hard...

Please define "white". If you live in the U.S. chances are you are part white, part black, with some native american thrown in there. Sure there are incidents of racism against whites, but I don't think more than against black or hispanic people. That of course may change in the future as the demographic gets steadily of a darker skin pigmentation. And in any society, the minority is usually the group that gets victimized.

To put it simply? No.

i think there are more incidents of racism against whites. not too long ago a group of dozens of blacks attack random white people through milwaukee and everything was done to make it seem like that was just by chance only whites got targeted and then put on the backburner. when white spokes people rallied for the cause, THAT was seen as racist! go to an all black neiborhood and see how safe you feel just because you're white and see if you even make it out without a comment or beating. what you looking at white boy!

I live in a city that is predominantly black and hispanic and yet there have been no instances of hate crimes towards the minority group of the city, whites. My neighbor is white and everyone lives in peace. Stop your ignorance.

Also, the military (or at least the navy) promotes on basis of sex and ethnicity. In the last four years I've noticed minorities, philipinos especially, get promoted above whites, regardless of evals and exam results. I personally have been effected by this.

Another person that blames others for their shortcomings. The stormfronters on here are pathetic. Thank god my parents raised me to be responsible for my own destiny instead of blaming blacks, hispanics, and Jews!! cowardly

Thank you so much for pointing that out. I have been trying to get people to research real history, not the blatant lies told in public schools that perpetuate racism.

People have no idea what the white race has been through, who they have been enslaved by and the atrocities committed against them.

Every race, at one time or another, has been enslaved.

It shouldn't matter. We don't base our world eye for an eye. Some posters on here are saying whites can't be discriminated against which is bs. If whites can't be discriminated against, no race can. Fact is whatever race, sex, you are you will be discriminated against. Mainly because we perpetuate it by continually classifying ourselves into races, basing our policies on race, groups for the advancement of certain races. When we figure out, we're all people on the planet earth, differing in skin color because of the differing levels of melanin in our skin due to differing absorption amounts of UV rays from the sun. (i.e. the closer you are the the equator the darker your skin, the more melanin you have to protect against UV, vice versa, when live closer towards the polar caps, your skin is lighter, with less melanin.) Pretty simple, yet we're still acting like a bunch of kids, fumbling around and pushing others out of the way. Its been like this since the history of man began, any race, or sex, is willing to sacrifice the rights of everyone else, so they can benefit from it. Who's going to agree to equal rights for all, when you are going to lose some benefits from the distribution to a bigger pool of people. That's what it comes down to.

Oh okay, your not for equal rights. Well I'm sure their are plenty of people on your side on that one. Its not about blaming, yet you jump to that conclusion right away, which tells a lot. Its about getting equal rights, equal opportunity, when that isn't the case, your going to have problems.

In addition to suffering first degree burns, he has lost his eyebrows, eyelashes, and part of the skin on his face. There is also long-term concern about his eyes and lungs.

Zimmerman, who is white, has not been charged in the death of Martin, who was black. Police in Sanford, where the shooting occurred, told Martin’s family that Zimmerman had a “squeaky-clean” record and that’s why they had not arrested him, according to Tracy Martin, the teen’s father.

If all of these occured the same way but it was a white person committing the crime you can bet you a** that it would be national news and everyone would cry racism, but no one cried racism because it was hate crimes against white people.

Sounds as if there was prison time where possible, the second case is indeterminate.

Show me where a black man follows a random white guy, shoots him and is then released the same day and never charged. That's right - you can't. It's a fairy tale.

Well, I would agree that Affirmative Action is a bigoted practice. It does nothing to increase the situation for most ethnic minorities because if they are totally unprepared for the career they've been ushered into merely due to their skin tone or facial features (or gender or sexual orientation or religion, etc.) they will show themselves for the inexperienced person they are. This can only reaffirm negative stereotypes and create resentment.

There should be no personal test for getting a job or a scholarship or an internship. People should get the job, scholarship or internship based on merit. There should be more emphasis on education and on-the-job training. Technical schools should be more common and less stigmatized. Wages should be higher and public transportation more available.

...but since there are so many barriers to a successful life for minorities, the State took it upon itself to place a bandaid over the social wound and in the end - as the State is so good at doing - the bandaid ended up making the wound fester while the underlying causes of the injury go unchecked.
