Or physically attacked?

In the UK, five times as many white people are wounded in racist attacks as ethnic minorities.

A black person in Bradford (a UK city with a large black and Indian/Pakistani minority) is 3 times as likely, as an individual, to carry out a race attack while 'Asians' are 4 times as likely to carry out a race attack than a white person.

An ethnic minority person in the UK is 35 times as likely, as an individual, to wound someone in a racially motivated attack as a white person is!

Most race attack victims `are white'

I did not benefit from the slave trade nor did my family.

In fact, only a small rich elite ever benefited from the slave trade.

Why then am I be expected to share the guilt for something I never did?

Should blacks share the guilt of the genocide carried out by the Zulus in Africa, just because they are the same race as shaka Zulu?

There are people that willing to forget that and live in the new age, but sadly there are also those that keep the fire burning by adding fuel.

Untill a radiation burst that erases some of our memory and burn our skin colour to a beige or something
, this will continue to happen.

What is wrong with holding everyone to the same standards?? Encourage everyone to do their best. Leave out the sob stories that are used to get a leg up and work your ass off.

I agree.

Morgan Freeman was right when he said, "The way to end racism is to stop talking about it." When things like "affirmative action" are imposed on the population that provide special treatment for a certain racial group, it does not take a genius to see how such a thing could wind up backfiring......which ultimately does nothing but perpetuate more racism.

Was affirmative action ever about anymore than politicians bending to minority pressure groups that were looking for economic benefits for their particular minority?

That is a huge problem for the US and the UK. Pressure groups rule the roost and politicians are happy enough to give them other peoples' economic opportunities if it buys them votes.

The British are sometimes referred to as Brits or Pommies, Scottish are Scots or Jocks, Irish are Micks or Paddys, Australians are Aussies, New Zealand are Kiwis, Welsh are Taffys, Americans are Yanks, etc, etc. We all accept it and are generally not offended.

But tell someone from Pakistan he is a Paki and you could find yourself in trouble for racism, why is that? How is 'paki' a racist remark but the rest aren't?

When it comes to employment opportunities in Federal employment, whites are correct to feel that they are now being discriminated against

Though 10 percent of the U.S. civilian labor force, African-Americans are

• 18 percent of U.S. government workers.
• 25 percent of the employees at Treasury and Veterans Affairs
• 31 percent of the State Department
• 37 percent of Department of Education employees
• 38 percent of Housing and Urban Development
• 42 percent of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.
• 55 percent of the employees at the Government Printing Office

LOL no they are not.

Discrimination from what? Jobs? Aside from affirmative action I don't see how.

Who runs the world? Who, in most cases, are at the heads of corporations, secret societies etc..? It sure isn't brown, black or yellow people. Whites own the majority of the wealth and rule the world yet are in the minority in terms of numbers as compared to other races. Do other races resent that? I'm sure they do, but does that change anything? Not for 500 years it hasn't.

Question to anyone - if you had a chance to reincarnate into any race what race would you chose? Bear in mind that if you reincarnate as a Black, Asian, Indian, Latino, or Native American chances are you will most likely have trouble feeding yourself.

I am not here trying to bash any races, just saying it as it is.

You want to get with the times.

The last time I checked we had a chap called Obama in the White House.

Here he is bowing to the President of China

Here he is bowing to the King of Saudi

Here he is bowing to the Emperor of Japan

Ultimately, I don't think so.

But I think it's terrible ignore the racist attacks on white people, and to ignore that whites can be discriminated against.

Apparently you missed the title of the thread - Are Whites MORE Discriminated Against THAN Blacks. I never said there is no discrimination; all races experience discrimination in one form or the other. But when comparing the white and black races there is no question blacks and other races are discriminated against much more often.

We can thank affirmative action and quota legislation for this. I've seen it first hand and I'm sure many of you have also. Especially if you work for a large corporation or school district or University. Promotions without merit, overlooked disciplinary actions because someone does not want to rock the proverbial boat. Scholarship awards etc etc

What is wrong with holding everyone to the same standards?? Encourage everyone to do their best. Leave out the sob stories that are used to get a leg up and work your ass off.

Nowadays, if you hold everybody up to the same standards, its either racist or sexist. I think we're at least 100-200 years out from solving this stupid problem. People are too caught up in greed, and what they can do with the power given to them by racist, sexist, "compensation".

So you post a bunch of pictures of heads of state using diplomatic gestures as proof of? Obama is mixed btw, and hardly wields any power or directive not given to him by his puppet masters. Same with all presidents since Kennedy (and probably before). I challenge you to take the CEO's (and board directors) of fortune 500 countries and tell me which race is most represented? Who are at the heads of the FED? Who are at the heads of investment banking? Come on now lets not get silly.

So you would pick to come back as a Japanese or Korean "chick" (I'm assuming you mean south Korean right?), but why not an Indonesian, Vietnamese or Chinese? If you pick Asian as your choice of race to reincarnate as, sorry most likely you will be Chinese and poor. If you chose Black as a race chances are you will be African and poor. If you chose to be an Arab or Latino, chances are you will be one from the middle east or South/Central America.....poor.

Are there poor whites? Sure there are but lets fool ourselves to believe that being born white doesn't up the chance that you will be born in a 1st world country and better off to climb the wealth ladder.

What I am not saying is that all whites have it easy and all whites have an automatic advantage which of course is nonsense, but when asked the question which are more discriminated against, IMO the question is preposterous because it isn't even close.

You might have an argument there.

So you are comparing the poor in the United States (a 1st world country) with resources and safety nets where even the homeless have access to food to 3rd world countries where some working families are lucky to get one meal a day? Are you also comparing 45.8 million people to hundreds of millions or even billions?

I don't know if you are playing devil advocate here or you are trolling.

I don't agree that whites are discriminated against more than blacks. However, I do agree that affirmative action is not working as it was intended and needs to be discarded.

Here's how racism tends to work though. A person experiences racism and becomes racist against the group that represents the person or people who were racist toward him/her. It is a horrible cycle. So, when you have enough people who have experienced racism, they pass those ideas along and encourage their own kids to be racist. It's much easier to do if you only live among others who are mostly like yourself.

Blacks tend to still be racially profiled by police a lot more, for example. It would be difficult to not turn out resentful, a little paranoid, and perceiving racism in situations (where such was not even intended) once you've been there. Some people automatically jump on the defensive and assume racism is driving every interaction people of another race are having with them.

The most racist people I've known are those who have experienced racism and discrimination themselves. While I feel bad they've experienced those things, it doesn't make it right for them to turn around and do the same thing back. It has to stop somewhere.
