I think that Canadians probably view Bigfoot as an American deviation, like monster truck bashes, unilateralism, and riots involving sports games other than hockey.

My sense, however, is that the more Canadians and intellectually inclined Americans actually study the Sasquatch phenomenon, the more they will be open to its possibility. As it is, they view it through cultural lenses and not through the lenses of science.

The thread title was the actual headline of the news article.

Live and learn, I guess.

I am kind of spamming the Bigfoot threads with this one, so please be patient. Guys and gals, I discovered very recently a Jewish legend of "Adnei Hasadeh," the Man of the Fields. It is an ape-like creature with strong paranormal aspects. Rationalist Rabbis link it to the Orangutan(!), while less rationalist Rabbis claim it is more paranormal. An Orangutan, but the description is similar to a man. Kind of familiar????

There is considered to be an umbilical tie to the Earth. Personally, I think that this could be symbolism for some kind of spiritual energy reminiscent of "Kundalini" and the Earth Chakra.

I practically flipped when I found this. I might be wrong in my interpretation but the Adnei Hasadeh sounds a lot like Mr. Foot to me (except for the allegation among some sources about the creature being violent).
