I don't mind contemplating everything under the sun
However, I don't like things being a auto-conspiracy until some very well mapped out evidence is presented that gives the hypothesis of a conspiracy back there.
In which case more evidence should be dug up supporting the claim, (or dismissing it...after all, researching a conspiracy should have the intent of finding a truth in the subject, not just a neat story to sell regardless of truth).

I have a love for truth..and hidden truth exposed excites me (even when it goes against my ideals or desires)...but, truth it must be, and not just someones ideas based on very sketchy coincidences and fantasy moved by desires.

Let's see who needs to 'get a life':

Person A: registers on a conspiracy website to discuss conspiracies.
Person B: registers on a conspiracy website to tell people to stop conspiring.

Shouldn't your post be in the rant section? And, honestly, I too have a complaint. It seems the people who claim they are one of the "smart ones" are usually the ones with poor grammar and spelling. Nothing shouts out "I am a genius, unlike you idiots" like spelling errors and punctuation mistakes.

If you don't believe that something is a conspiracy, then lay your case out as to why, without insults. If you want a website where NOTHING is a conspiracy, I suggest Yahoo or MSNBC.

A better use of this particular forum is to hypothesize why people tend to see events as conspiracies rather than singular, random events.

1. Rant Section.
2. Occam's Razor isn't as common on ATS as one would think.

It's a sad truth. I don't personally believe everything is a conspiracy. Some people just like claiming everything is a conspiracy so that it promotes their pre-determined beliefs. Making connections where there aren't any to provide a sense of, "See! I was right all along!"

Not all ATS'ers are like that -- though many are.

Above Top Secret is a news discussion forum created by Simon Gray in 1999 as a discussion board for conspiracy,[1] and a site for general information about conspiracy topics.[2] Today Above top Secret is more commonly used to discuss current news articles as the Breaking News forum makes up the largest percentage of content.,[3] and a site for general information about conspiracy topics.[2] Currently under the ownership of The Above Network, LLC (Incorporated in Delaware, United States). ATS has been used by some popular conspiracy writers such as Jim Marrs, John Lear (now banned from ATS[4] ) and Scott Creighton. As of January 2010, ATS claims it has almost 10 million posts with over 4 million visits to the site a month. As of August 2010 it is ranked 2,546 in the U.S. by Alexa.[5] It is now mostly run by Mark Springer and William "Skeptic Overlord" Irvine. Administrators maintain that Simon Gray is very much still involved with Above Top Secret but no longer publicly posts in the forum. Mark Springer does promotional activities such as going on the radio show Coast to Coast AM to promote the site while William Irvine tailors ATS to appeal to the public. William Irvine was brought on to Above top Secret for his background in developing web technologies for larger business.

Agreed one hundred percent. It's like asking "Why does everybody have to be naked on this porn site I browse frequently" ? I too do acknowledge that there are some very paranoid people in the world as well as a few members might be on ATS. However, as an open discussion forum that promotes intelligent debate,I see no other better place than right here to share one's opinions, on Abovetopsecret. Domain name should say it all.

"Deny Ignorance" the motto should drive the point home.

The real conspiracy that nobody wants to address is why a pack of hot dogs contains ten franks, when a bag of buns only contains eight. Shadow Governments attempt to rub it in our noses exactly HOW MUCH control they have ???

Notice the all caps I used for making it seem truthful and dire and worth more then the average post???

I like the people here...not the posts or threads.

Thanks, just read it over I wouldn't exactly say they handed it to you, just that maybe their was a misinterpretation/miscommunication.

I do agree that my stapler falling off my desk is not a conspiracy as you put it.

Investigating conspiracies is a little like going shopping. You will be offered many wares, some shoddy and cheap, some very high quality. You might see dozens of other shoppers standing in line for a shirt or shoes you wouldn't be caught dead in, while others may look at your purchases and wonder, "who the heck buys that kind of thing, anyway?" lots of people will try to sell you overhyped garbage, while you might find something truly wonderful in the bargain bin and scratch your head over why nobody else has picked it up. Nobody can buy everything, but with a little luck, at least some transactions wind up being worthwhile.

I suggest that you adjust your "take" on the issue(s) and soften it a little and round it out with a lesson human nature, mass human nature actually.

Every tangibile thing and thought "thing" is subject to being an agenda for some group that has an interest in it one way or another. Name one of those "things' that does not.

If you can't, you have the best reason in the world why from those various interest from religion, to polltical ideologies to the shape of sneakers and extending to next year's fashion statements of men's ties has an interest to some segment of some population in either a pro or con response.

Conspiracies are a moden phenomena in terms of the growth and extensiveness of their being. they exited before, but not like this. Their being lays directly to the internet where ideas, facts and mere words float effortlessly across and around the world. It is part of the NWO. --Unfortunately, it just so happens to be a part of the ability to have a NWO that the architects of which do not care much for in regard to the present allowance of old freedoms to be carried forth.

Rest assured, the conspiracies you so ignoramously complain about in total are on the cusp of being denied, near the last chance for the common folk to speak out loudly on whatever matter they can think, know or dream about.

Dude I feel your frustration. When the right things are ripped apart by people on here, it's sad. Yes they might uncover one or two unimportant things, but the fact is, there are no nice people on the internet in places like this.
This entire site was made to discuss conspiracy, shills, disinfo, false flags, psy ops, cover ups etc so when something becomes massive, what are you gonna do but either roll with the punches and laugh inwardly at how desperate some people are, accept that some people are either giant douches or turd sandwiches, or just sign off?

It's hard to ignore when something you stand for is under scrutiny, and sometimes its hard to swallow that you may have been lied to, but if you care about something enough, and your intentions are true, what people say shouldnt matter, but what YOU DO should

My mind is officially blown.
Over here it's either 8 or 10 to a pack and either 6 or 12 buns..

I feel peculiar..I think I need to go outside.

The real conspiracies are the ones that are hardly ever talked about. Even a mention on here would get your post removed before you could boil a kettle. Anyway, Shh! ATS is being monitored. Pretend you're doing something else.

yes on a conspiracy forum... anything can be a conspiracy...

Tornadoes kills dozens in Midwestish area... ITS HAARP!!!!

from your previous thread..

4.Population control. It relates to HAARP, and Weathercontrol. Look at the Tornadoes down south last year in April of 2011... Over 500 people died from THERE alone. In Joplin, MO... 150+ died from one mile wide tornado..

So you are just as bad as the rest of us...

And its not just whether something is a conspiracy but also that something HAS to be fake. Nothing is possible, everything is IMpossible, totally natural, or normal.

Nothing against you here.. But I really do hate that way of thinking. It's a pet peeve of mine I guess.

Yes, this is a conspiracy website, no one said otherwise. But, does that mean it's ok to just post any old nonsense and present it as fact or as a viable possibility? No, not really in my opinion. A lot of what is presented here is nonsense. Someone once tried to seriously tell me JFK was killed by a time travelling reptilian for example, lol, and that doesn't even crack my top 10 list of outlandish theories I've seen presented here.

We're all Intelligent people (as far as I'm concerned anyway) and stuff like that is just a waste of our time, a waste of our time which is better spent looking for the truth when it comes to genuine theories and ideas. I just really wish some people would stop trying to justify the truly insane, out there, obviously untrue, crazy theories that are presented here just because this happens to be a conspiracy website. Yes that is that kind of site.. but that's no reason to just post nonsense or question literally every single thing, to the point of being truly paranoid. We're all supposed to be looking for the truth here, not wasting our time with thing's that are obviously not true - Take the theory I posted above for example.

Sorry to say but sometimes thing's really are as they seem. Sometimes not everyone in a position of power is out to get you. Sometimes people are genuinely good and want to help/do good for others. Sometimes the world isn't going to end because someone, somewhere said so. Sometimes not everything has an ulterior motive. The OP is right, not everything is a conspiracy. Are there conspiracies out there however, yes, of course there is and we really shouldn't forget that fact, because it is a fact. But not everything is as some do seem to genuinely believe.

Anyway, just throwing out my 2 cents worth..
