Ok....so I check RSOE fairley regularly and a strange thing has just happened. All maps are available except those for the World, Asia, Indonesia and the Pacific Ocean. Did something happen in those areas? I can click on and see the other maps and of course pan out but no information shows up for these areas. It also appears that there are quite a few earthquakes today. Not a doomsdayer nor a paranoid person here, but only those maps being blocked seems strange as those are the some of the most highly active areas it seems.

Could just be a glitch, but here's a link to RSOE maps. If you click on the Continents tab and check them you will see what I mean.

RSOE

I always think the worst too whenever RSOE acts funny. Usually(of course it is the year of apocolypto) it comes back. At the same time, I wonder if a mega-event would immediately register and be shown on RSOE too.
What is up with all the green wildfire icons in US?

Lots of wildfires in the US right now. And yeah, I get a touch anxious when I see something like this where only a few select maps are not showing but the rest are. If the site was down that would be one thing, but 3 of the maps are blank which is a bit different when there are 7 others that are showing all events just fine.

*side not - LOVE the avatar!

Did you scroll down to the earthquake listings for today?

Lots of 4+ and several 5's too!
Thanks for the avatar compliment.

Sure did, and I saw the 4 and 5's but I am wondering if there was a big one in the areas of one of the 3 maps I can't see. Again...it is really odd to me that only those 3 maps are down. My guess is they are all just maps that are pulling data/information on events worldwide and have an auto update feature that puts the correct "incident" in the correct spot, so the only thing that I would think would go down would be the updated "incidents", not the maps themselves entirely.

Doing the same for me. However if you select North America, you can then use the little zoom in or out slider on the left of the screen and you will see the rest of the world. Im not sure if it has updated those areas of the world you can't see or not though.

Yeah, you can zoom in and out on all the maps, but you only get the "incident" notices for the maps you select so while you can zoom out from North America you can only see what is going on in North America. Most likely a glitch or something but again, very odd it only affected those maps in particular and not all maps on the site.

The last couple of days northern Cali sure has been active. What is up with Turkey too, that whole area is always lit up with EQ activity? Think the sound of car alarms constantly fills the air over there?
Why are they using green for wildfire now instead of the yellow I wonder?
Alaska is pretty active too, but that is normal I guess.

Dare I speculate on the solar flare correlation?

Hmmm, I live right in near Maryland, in Delaware.

Is it just me, or should I be worried about the Epidemic Hazard showing up on the North America map, right next door to me? :3

I saw that too, and wonder if anyone else living near that power plant has been affected? Those deaths sound scary and happened fast!
Let us know if you hear something local.

It appears only one person has been affected by it from the details. I wouldn't worry about that too much.

I read one person contracted it, and two of their friends died, and when their family went to take care of the first person who initially contracted it, they died aswell.

So, that's 5 I heard.

Maybe I received misinformation, but it seems as if it's spreading instantly to those who come in contact with it.
