I use to listen to him a long time ago, got sick of it though, hearing about political sh*t on a whole CD is about just as annoying as hearing about it on CNN

KRS1 is still number one in my opinion. I do like technique but sometimes I do like to listen to hip hop just for the beats. When im in that mood il listen to liquid swords album or only built for cuban lynx. Mobb deep have some nice tunes too.

Most informed rapper alive? Yes. The best rapper alive? You have to be kidding me......using turntables and bars straight out of 1992. Awful production.

That being said, he DOES speak the truth in his lyrics.

But best rapper alive is a bit of a stretch.

I hate rap and hip hop.

I like Mos Def though, he's got his head on straight.

I don't care for Immortal Technique. He doesn't seems sincere to me. It just seems like hes trying to get a following through angry suburban anarchist kids. But props to him, I don't know him personally so I can't really say. Better than Lil Wayne at least.

Mos Def killed this beat! Probably going to be the best song of 2012 imo.

I love Immortal technique. He is also from my part of the woods. He tends to talk too much about the rap industry for my taste but still has a great discography. Only rap I can stand now a days.

Nice.

lol

Well Immortal wins in the rapping and lyrical department but I don't like any of his songs

Lil Wayne, at least I like a few of his songs

And 90's beats are some of the best, Immortals are just bland

I'm with ya......I love where Immortal tech wants to go, but he's been stalled.

If someone would sample some BBD beats, and mix it with dub step, and have drake or EM flow...I'd be a happy person.

Better than lil Wayne?

ehm hell YEAH!

because rapping about 'sucking a lollipop' and 'having more bitches on your stick then Harry Potter' isn't rap at all.

Lil Wayne is an autotune fail.

Furthermore Immortal raps about things that matter and pertain to us ALL.

I don't care if Lil Wayne has got a new grill in his mouth, drives 50 cars, has 10 mansions and god knows how many gazillion dollars.

Because once again that is NOT rap.

Hiphop has lost its roots, Wayne is a prime example of that.

I didn't hear this guy until last year, I honestly was glad at least some rapper has the cahones to rap about the topics he does. Good for him. Yeah he gets old if you listen to him for too long, he's ANGRY. You have to take things like that in small doses and at face value. His art is him venting his frustration, I get it. But he's also outspoken and aware, and I wont let his anger detract from that.

Yeah he wants to sell CDs too, I can't blame him. At least he isn't talking about ridiculous gangsta thuglife, or nasty sex or big booties He's original, thankfully, and not a hypocrite.

I'd actually like to do a remix with his vocals to some dnb, that way you get a message you can dance to.

Gang Starr pretty much take Immortal Technique to the cleaners. Far superior rappers out there.

Oh yeah and plus one to Only Built For Cuban Lynx being mentioned above.

Please bro...seriously? Autotune is only 1/4 of his tunes, and I HATE it personally, so you got me there

Listen to a milli. Pure genius....BUT, I have to admit that B.O.B. With Wayne on "strange Clouds" is one of the best songs over the past 5 years. GD it's good.....

It's comments like tat that make me question why I'm a conspiracy theorist.

Please....at least admit lyrical AND beat greatness.

Lil Wayne is everything that is wrong with Hip-Hop.

He's as far removed from it as you can get.

The guy sucks.

Rap is in a pretty bad state generally... underground is the only way to go really.

Certainly not MTV approved Rappers

Lil wayne....rofl

What kind of 'genius' has to jack lyrics from people with more talent than them?

The dude is a joke. He's the poster child for the moronic mainstream youth of modern America and a disgrace to even consider himself a part of hip hop, let alone 'the best rapper alive.'

He is loved and held in high regard only by the brain-dead and the people clueless enough to have no sense of intellect and true talent.

A bunch of people "quote" peoples lines, its kinda fair game in hip hop. It's a genre that was built solely on samples after all. And its generally seem has paying "homage" to whoever you're quoting. Quoting a Biggie or Tupac line is like a right of passage

Plus half of those songs were from Waynes old group Hot Boys....
