when I was a kid in the 70's, I was a "daydreamer"

they say my son (born in november) a first grader, has "focus issues"

he tested at a 4th grade reading level

maybe that's why he is staring out the window ?

he is full of joy, life and love, and just wants to be outside chasing frogs

the way 6 year old boys were meant to live !!!

instead he gets indoctrinated into conformity and rules and shame

the teacher wants him to be evaluated by a pediatrician. she's hinting she may have to "not put him through" to second grade

fine

but if they recommend meds, I'm telling them to shag off

really has me fit to be tied

Yes - - I agree with you.

My grandson taught himself to read by age 3 just from using his computer.

And NO MEDS. I absolutely agree NO MEDS.

I was like that too. My IQ exceeds the high-score on the tests (still at age 48). After a 3rd hearing test recommeded by a teacher cause I wasn't paying attention, dad asked why, then said ohhh i get it... then he taught me all about how to go along to get along. The key was to act interested and DUMB - to the extent I could never get an A since that would get me in even more trouble. OMG how HE WAS RIGHT!

Thank GOD that worked. By late HS and a few times in college I let the IQ show too much. My honors math teacher got so pissed that I could ace everything w/o doing any homework that he actually cheated my grade - and even though I had graduated anyway I was pissed and got him in trouble with the principal about it. The grade got fixed even though it didn't matter but then a couple years later he made my sister stay after school every day and she cried every night. There were a couple similar case in college too. It became obvious school wasn't about education. It was indoctrination.

This girl in this video actually was validictorian. But notice how she looks like such a "nice girl". No hint that she might doo bad things off-hours. A safe person to give an A too.

So the point is its' not just the Dr Pushers over prescribing the medications. Its the indoctrination system that wants to disable the smart kids. You're kids got hell to pay unless he can fake stupidity. Its a thing called ENVY.
