BRAZZAVILLE, Republic of Congo - Homes and buildings collapsed in the Congolese capital after an arms depot exploded Sunday, killing at least 206 people and entombing countless others in crushed structures including inside two churches that buckled while parishioners were celebrating Mass, officials and witnesses said.

The shock waves shattered windows in a three-mile (five-kilometer) radius surrounding the barracks storing the munitions.

Sound familiar to anyone??

Last October the US deployed 100 spec ops troops in Uganda in an effort to kill or capture Joseph Kony, the leader of the blood thirsty LRA. They have been slaughtering and kidnapping people in that region for over twenty years.

In May 2010 Obama signed the Lord's Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009 that authorized this at all costs mission.

Late FEB. it was announced that our troops have established forward operating bases in 3 additional countries in Central Africa. (South Sudan, Congo, CAR). I've read conflicting reports regarding the deployment in Congo (Some say Republic of Congo, Some say Congo) Two neighboring countries.

Anyway, the hunt is clearly on for the LRA and although this bombing has not been directly tied to them yet, I would suspect the finger pointing to come very soon considering our recent expansion in the area. This could be the LRA flexing a little muscle after reports were just released saying that LRA attacks were decreasing as a result of the new mission.

Game on... Welcome to Obama's new thunderdome.

It's unclear what started the fire at the tank regiment's barracks located in the capital's densely populated northern neighborhood of Ouenze, but an official at the president's office said the depot is used to store war-grade weapons including mortars. The first blast went off at around 8 a.m., and several smaller blasts were heard throughout the morning. Another major explosion went off at around 1 p.m.

This is why we are on the hunt for the LRA www.lracrisistracker.com... This only tracks from 2009. The U.S. is also under great pressure from the Responsiblity to Protect Group (R2P) and the International Crisis Group. (LIbya was step one/mission one with regards to the new doctrine of Responsibility to Protect)

My theory on all of this is based around Obama's urgency to rapidly downsize our conventional military operations in favor of his Obama Doctrine style of engagement. Spec. Ops. insertions, Drone strikes, humanitarian aid, protection of the civilians blah blah blah.

Obama needs to justify his mission and his plan so he can claim success like he did in Egypt, Libya, with Bin Laden, Al Waliki, Soon in Syria. etc etc. and by operating in this manner he can hide behind the cover of the UN because the UN said so. Iran is merely a distraction at the moment as Obama hunt for terror continues into Central and Eastern Africa. Study the region and which nations are potentially at play in establishing control of it.

The Obama Doctrine as failed and will continue to fail. We are in trouble

Three years ago, President Barack Obama set forth to recast American foreign policy in an image of his own design. It was one in which the White House engaged with enemies and undercut allies, apologized for American exceptionalism, and favored the “soft power” of treaties and international organizations. This “Obama Doctrine” was tailor made to burnish America’s supposedly flagging reputation on the world stage. Today we are seeing the disastrous results of a doctrine gone wrong.

Iran= Fail

Egypt=Fail (Muslim Brotherhood soon to control)
LIbya=Fail (Muslim Brotherhood just established political party)
Syria= Fail (Muslim Brotherhood is licking their chops)
Iraq= Fail (nothing but a memory as violence escalates between shia and sunni)
Afghanistan= Super Fail (enough said)

Given the following and the above failures, Obama needs success in a bad way.

As these international threats simmer to a boil, the President is undercutting America’s ability to defend its interests at home and abroad. Under Obama’s new budget, the military faces nearly half a trillion dollars in cuts, on top of $400 billion the President has already slashed. That does not include the half trillion in funding that will have to be cut under the debt limit agreement Congress reached last summer. Vital defense programs have been killed, next generation weapons will be delayed or eliminated, and troops will be reduced. And it’s all being done in the name of freeing up funding to pay for the President’s domestic agenda.

In the course of three years, President Obama has pursued a foreign policy that has left America less secure today and even more at risk tomorrow. A nuclear Iran, a failed Afghanistan and Iraq, an unfriendly Egypt, an Israel at risk, and an underfunded military are all serious concerns for the American people. Rather than continue pursuing the ill-advised Obama Doctrine, it is time for the President to put defending America first and appeasing our enemies last. That is a doctrine the American people can depend on.

UPDATE! Now they are saying that a "Short Circuit" caused this explosion.

Huge explosions at an arms depot, which killed at least 146 people in Congo's capital, Brazzaville, were caused by a short-circuit that led to a fire, government officials say.

www.bbc.co.uk...

Convenient and untraceable and a tactic used recently to kill Retired General Solomon Mujuru of Zimbabwe, the husband of the VP of Zimbabwe. An official investigation has been launched regarding his death.

A public inquest into the mysterious death of Solomon Mujuru, a retired general, independence hero and husband of vice-president Joice Mujuru is underway at Harare.

Mujuru's death in an inferno at his rural home last August has been viewed with suspicion from the beginning.

After all, Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe is a place where deadly accidents befall senior figures with notable regularity, particularly those who are seen as political opposition.

www.globalpost.com...

Short Circuits can be simply applied to explain all types of fires and explosions. Ask an insurance claims investigator.

Well, if by "short circuit" they mean "J-dam", then yes, I believe their story.

This has our fingerprints all over it.

The entire region needs to be stabilized in order to get the oil, minerals and rare earths up and out. Of course, this will also raise the standard of living for citizens who have been ignored by the international community for decades. At least that is what Obama, the UN and their backers believe. It is all for their own good. Right??

Its going to be a mess..

Yep, once things stabilize the banksters come in and start loaning the new puppet leadership money the jig is up. They say the money is for infrastructure improvements that will benefit the residents, when in reality the infrastructure is only so we can get to the resources.

When the puppet can't pay the loans back, we own him.

This is America's foriegn policy.

No wonder they all hate us.
