For an evolutionist, the search for alien life is the search for his own origins. “We are conducting the most profound search in human history—to know our beginnings and our place among the stars,” declares the SETI Institute, which has spent more than $100 million so far in public and private funds to comb space looking for alien communications.2 Most wealthy governments are spending millions more on other programs looking for extraterrestrial life.
NASA, for example, spends some $500 million each year on exploratory missions to Mars and other planets and moons where, among other goals, they hope to find evidence of life.3 The European Space Agency’s upcoming $700 million Darwin telescope array (the name is no coincidence) will hunt “the most likely places for life to develop.
”4 Yet as we keep exploring deeper and deeper into space, we are not finding any signs of alien life. As physicist Enrico Fermi quipped, “Where is everybody?” If life evolves under the right conditions, why haven’t we found anything?
The Bible shows us that God’s plan revolves around earth. God created the heavenly bodies for the sake of mankind (Genesis 1:14) and completed Creation Week by forming Adam and Eve. When these two earthlings sinned, their actions affected the entire universe, which fell into “the bondage of corruption” (Romans 8:21). Christ became a man (not an alien) and died once (Hebrews 10:10)—to redeem mankind.
He has since been seated at the right hand of the Father (Luke 22:69), not ministering on alien worlds. The message of the heavens is that there is intelligence, found in our Creator God (Romans 1:20), not evolution.

VVV anything is possible. I regard nature and all the little creatures... why couldn't there be a 7 ft tall speaking octopus or ant?
It could be that space is just so vast, that we are unable to look everywhere. Or it could mean, that there is indeed no other intelligent life out there.
Then we believe its there with blind faith. That i cannot do.

If it came down to choosing the bible or life on other planets...I would definetly choose the latter. I don't trust something that's been in the possession of mankind for so long, and not to have been affected or altered in any way...hmmm

You see, this is what gets me everytime.
People would believe blindly in aliens on other planets, without a shred of evidence, but then in the same breath dismiss the bible, because it also has no evidence to back it up??
I am neutral in both regards, since i have my own believe system. But logically that type of logic just doesn't make sense to me.

Now scientists suggest that telltale signs of life could have been there all along, but Viking's testing methods were not robust enough to recognize them.
"We simulated these [tests] that Viking did 30 years ago, this time in extreme regions of our own planet," said Rafael Navarro-Gonzalez, of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City.
"We found low levels of organic compounds in those soils, but we cannot detect them by the same technologies used by the Viking mission."

How arrogant is it to think out of everything we can see and what we can guess at we are the only forms of intelligent life out there. To think that way is almost appalling. "Yea we're the only forms of intelligent life anywhere" Get off your stool and come back to fact based reality sir.

The article i linked, outlines how much money is used, on something, that is potentially useless, while the same money could have been used for feeding hungry kids, all over the world.
