And there, I believe you have hit the nail on the proverbial head. I have always believed that the US is positioning themselves to be the "manager" of the ME oil fields. Imagine the power in that!!

Perhaps the U.S. will be the military manager.

I think the international oil companies will be the business managers.

The corporations get the money, and the U.S. citizens get "not much" I'm afraid.

Well, there was a little skirmish called WWII in which we said that we would fight until the Axis declared a Unconditional surrender and that we would not accept otherwise.

Sometimes you have to learn the values of defeat and accept it.

No nation has stated been a Victor in wars forever just look at the Roman Empire you see what happened to them? that's Americas fate to.

having your own oil reserves does not stop the value of the US dollar falling to nothing, oil is one thing, but trying to import when you are bankrupt is hard, closing off the straight of Hormuz will increase the price of oil, which increases the cost of living, increased cost of living raises the crime rate, curfews are put in place and the us gets martial law, when the US is tied up in conflict, opens the door for China to take Taiwan, north and south Korea can go at it again because the US will be occupied on many fronts, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq again, Pakistan, the list goes on.

Under the shah of Iran (a dictator put into power by the US) treaties were made in which Iran was given a green light for nuclear power plants and their full implementation. America was the one who supplied a 5 megawatt nuclear reactor, and drew plans for Iran to have 23 nuclear power plants up and running by the year 2000.

When Khomeini, by will of the majority of Iranian citizens, took power in, for all intents and purposes, a bloodless coup, ousting an oppressive dictator from power. The citizens of Iran wanted self determination, and their will as to what type of governance they would have prevailed, they chose an Islamic Republic. This is their right of free will to choose.

The second Khomeini took power, the US suddenly changed their mind and since have done everything in their power to stop the nuclear power plants that they helped to start in the first place. This is religious persecution of an entire sovereign nation. Religious persecution. America does not approve of the Shia faith, and has since determined to persecute the entire nation of shia peoples because of their disapproval.

It is against Sharia law for us to go on any military offensive, all we are allowed under law is self defend. Israel knows this, this is why they are talking about attacking now, nothing they have said, done, or tried has succeeded in Iran being the first to make any move to war, because under the law when a people are peaceful toward us we have to respond in kind. This is the law we follow. Israel has realized this therefore are now planning on moving toward war.

Iran has never made any move to invade any country or expand her borders because its against Sharia. There are no war crimes that Iran has committed. The only crime of Iran is going forward on a plan previously promised to her people. Period. And that is no crime.

But make no mistake, if Iran is invaded it wont be like anything this world has ever seen, it wont be as easy to get rid of us as you are thinking.
