You clearly dont understand how foreign aid works..........

Perhaps get a better grasp on that before trying to use it as an example of the US government being in favor of countries that destroy their own people.....

This is a poor attempt to refute the other posters point of the Iranian regimes practices.......

I dont need to u2u you or start a thread, Ill call you out on it on this one.....

your lack of knowledge on foreign aid and how it is allocated is apparent......

Perhaps I am mistaken. Read this paper. It might have great intentions, but, in reality it doesn't work the way it supposed to. So "call me out" all you want. Until I see proof of anything different, I will keep thinking my way. Nice cop out too. Love it.

Precisely!

Yes, the West have its problems and coruption, perhaps as bad or worse in some ways than Iran. But to use Iran as a shining example of all that is right and good? Laughable.

If you want to hold up a country as an example, why not Iceland, Sweden or the like. But no, people back Iran blindly simply because they thumb their noses at the US.

I look at it as the lesser of two evils. Iran may have it's own problems (yes, yes, human rights), but at least they aren't invading other lands under false pretenses and leaving a shattered culture and infrastructure.

Well there you have it

1. Iran is bad
2. Iran is making gas go up.
3. Iran has oil!

I think you guys obviously see this.

It did not take long for that , we have been at them over the nukes for a couple of years and now they have found a new massive oil field that's what it is all about . Let me guess we knew of this years ago and fabricated the regimes threats against America and Israel so we could attack and take their just found oil.

i think oil is the second picture here , information control is just as important
press tv was founded in 2007 , haven't heard anything about iran prior to that

presenting the dirty deeds of israel and friends basically demolishes the "good-guy" image that the western powers have so hardly built through hollywood bull# and national media control

i think it's a worrying factor for them that iran is developing economically so there's a big chance that their station might spread in many other countries
if you don't control information you can't control people

Iran has been attacking Israel thru its proxy armies for decades and they have attacked coalition forces both in Iraq and Afganistan . They provide both material support with money and arms and men for he jihad so don't even try to paint them with a peaceful brush . They are working on making their Mahadi appear and this will be thru a big war .

The poor Iranian people want no part of this but are pawns of their evil regime, just like most peoples are beholden to their evil governments who for the most part capitulate to the NWO bankers and satanists.

we don't need their oil. the US exported more than it imported in 2011

this is about keeping them out of the club, the US and it's allies are trying to provoke a fight

they'll probably get it

This thread derailed quick. This has nothing to do with anyones god. Their discovery of this oil will give the US another reason to invade but Israel has to strike first, then when Iran retaliates the US can do their usual clean and sweep. I say it will all come together this month, March, and will be ongoing thru the elections, giving Barry another term.

The same could be said about the US no? I wasn't trying to paint them with a peaceful brush, but compared to the US/Israel (acting through proxies as well) they are not even in the same room of the stage that US/Israel is on. If you read about the 12th Imam, you will see that Iran cannot force the Imam to come by starting a war.

Islamabad (Dawn/ANN) - A Thomas Reuters Foundation poll of gender specialists reported that Afghanistan in 2011 was the world's most dangerous country in which to be a woman, due to poverty, poor healthcare and harmful cultural practices.

Pakistan ranked third where women face unprecedented levels of violence and gender discrimination. This is where according to Pakistan's Human Rights Commission 90 per cent of women are victims of domestic violence at some point in their lives.

Not a net exporter of oil. Net exporter of petroleum products. The US has excess refinery capacity that they use to refine gasoline and export gasoline. But the raw oil products are still a net importer.

There actually is blatant election rigging in Iran, or did you miss the 2009 elections where presidential contenders were placed under house arrest and constantly abused, and riots were met with violent retaliation from government, which killed and jailed many of its own people?

Then again, it is not exactly a democratic country, for if it was the people would have voted out Ahmedinejad and Khamenei by now. I don't know if you realize this, but the Iranian people despise their government.

Iran's government really isn't its strong suit; I'm opposed to war because the actions of the Iranian government do not warrant the senseless slaughter of Iranian civilians and the destruction of their homes; neither do they warrant the obliteration of thousands of years of art and history within the region. Iran is part of the birthplace of civilization.

When you compare Western lifestle to those in that part of the world one can only come to the conclusion god has indeed bleesed America as devilish as it may be.

Are you under the impression that Iran is a third world country?

How very convenient. The West imposes sanctions and Iran 'discovers' a new oil field.

No, this does not reek of antagonism from Iran at all.......

Riyadh Saudi has a lot of big buildings Towers with lights but like China several are empty. Its an attempt to look "The West isn't the only one" but in doing so they deny who they are.

Unfortunately,so does Press TV..........

You cant claim one, without claiming the other. Using it as a legitimate "News source" begs to question, what agenda OP has........

My four-year relationship ended with Press TV on October 17, mainly because there has been a deliberate attempt to suppress information on the Syrian uprising. It's one thing to take a position on the news you report, but it's another to completely ignore a story of interest to the public. It's well known that Iran politically backs the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, but I was shocked to learn of the extent to which Press TV could be used to propagate propaganda.

I soon set about writing a novel Changing Borders, hoping to somehow make sense of what was going on. The book, a portrait of Turkey, addresses lightly its relationship with Iran. It also touches on how Iran taps into Western liberals’ anti-intervention sentiment to garner support in the information war. I may once have thought along the same lines, I have to admit. This is an easy trap to fall into. Next time you blindly back an alternative voice such as Press TV because it suits your own political view, take a moment to question the quality of that information.

Press TV, the alternative voice?

PressTV is run by the Theocratic regime of Iran. That speaks mouthfuls......

Edit to add:

Sums it up for me...........
