If I were rush I wouldn't want there business anyways. It seems to me, Half them companies ads are selling a product that seems be a bit suspect.

A flower delivery service and an encryption software...very suspect

True...but technically there's massive differences...which explains why radio ratings were NEVER accurate until last year

Doesn't matter if it's the same 3rd party or not...

Who cares how accurate they are, you basically said Rush reported his own ratings. That's absurd, no one reports their own ratings.

Except for Rush who always claimed to have 20m+ viewers...which we now know is not even close to the truth

I'm fairly sure Rush is talking about his total listeners throughout a week or a month. Arbitron only tells the number of listeners at any given point in time. Example: Last Tuesday from 12 noon till 4 pm.

I don't think you really know how ratings work in radio. Here's a video discussing exactly that...both guys had radio shows for years!

That solution will never work for two reasons;

1. It's too simple.
2. Uncle Sam cannot tax it.

We obviously need more legislation.

If the guy you advertise with calls your target customers "sluts" for using contraception (which the majority of them use), do you think it's good business for that flower company to advertise with him?

Rush didn't call the woman a slut 'for using contraceptives'.

What did he call her a slut for?
Please explain that to me.

"What does it say about the college co-ed Sandra Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex, what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We're the pimps.... The johns? We would be the johns? No! We're not the johns...Yeah, that's right. Pimp's not the right word. Okay, so she's not a slut. She's "round heeled." ~ Radio personality Rush Limbaugh

She was called a slut for:

"essentially say(ing)s that she must be paid to have sex"

Nowhere does Rush claim that Sandra, or anyone else, is a slut or prostitute for "using contraceptives".

Rush Limpnuts called her a slut and a prostitute, because Limpnuts does not want to pay taxes for contraceptives for poor women. He would much rather pay taxes to support poor women's abortions and adoptions and food stamps, which would result from cutting off access to birth control for poor women.
I, on the other hand, like to call Rush Limpnuts a slut and a prostitute, purely because it is fun to do so. And since he started calling people names first, I feel absolutely free to respond in kind.

Sigh.

Those are Rush words, NOT REALITY. I take it you never bothered to actually find out what she was there to say and did say? If so, you would know that Rush pretty much fabricated an entire event out of thin air and that is what you just quoted...his made up version of events. Did you realize you did that?

She was called a slut for:

"essentially say(ing)s that she must be paid to have sex"

She never said that though. She never once said that. Rush changed her testimony about birth control in his own mind to mean she says she must be paid to have sex. She never said that. So again I ask, what was she actually called a slut for since she never said what you claim?

Nowhere does Rush claim that Sandra, or anyone else, is a slut or prostitute for "using contraceptives".

That was actually the entire point of his 3 day rant. Unfortunately you need to turn Rush off and listen to the young lady herself for a moment to get a dose of reality. Of course it should not take even that much to get that is exactly what Rush said.

She said she wants BC covered for various reasons including non-birth related. Rush then said she is a slut and a prostitute because of....what? Things that he made up, right or wrong?

all I have to say is that if people don't get out of women's healthcare issues soon, they may find me quitting my job and becomming an activist organizing women....and, well, hoping that we can organize enough to give the loons what they seem to want....ABSTINANCE!!! I bet ya 20 to one, that even the most anti-birth control, anti-abortion person will start to change his mind when it is his wife along with many others choose abstinance!!!

Most people don't have the means to shop around for insurance companies. Instead they are restricted to the health insurance they receive from work or school. In many cases these policies don't cover birth control. That's what this whole argument is about. Are you saying people should change their jobs or schools just so they can have access to medical treatment that should be available to all women?

You can get birth control at Planned Parenthood. Just call and seek the truth.

In that, you've been successful in irritating 51% of the readers of this thread, and solidified their view against you and your solution.

Nice work. I wish I could hire 1000 guys just like you and send you out to upset voters in all the swing states.

Rush Limbaugh's point was...if you can't afford birth control-don't have sex. How is that unreasonable?

The majority of this society doesn't agree with him. This is our society, and it doesn't belong to him. Or to his listeners. If it did, then they'd be the ones setting the agenda for the rest of us. They try, but there just aren't enough of them in our society. And we all get to comment on his comments, and that's what we're doing. We think he's an idiot and a creepy guy, and we're saying so in public. It's all pretty simple, really.

You have - no idea - what the majority of this society agrees with.

You are pontificating.

"essentially say(ing)s that she must be paid to have sex"

Which she never said in the first place. He simply implied that because she (correctly) figures contraceptives should be covered. Not only does it prevent people from having unwanted pregnancies, save MASSIVE amounts of costs to tax payers because those unwanted babies don't get born, but it also saves insurance companies money because contraceptives are cheaper than pregnancy and child health care...which will help to keep premiums lower if insurance companies pass on those savings.

In short: It saves taxpayers and insurance premium payers money...and she never said she wants to get paid to have sex. Rush equals the use of contraceptives with being a slut, and given that the majority of women in the US use contraceptives, he called them sluts at the same time!

Disgusting that you support this clown!

Enough of this distraction. Time for Obama to put up or shut up. Give Maher his Million Dollars Back and Apologize on behalf of his daughters to Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, and Laura Ingraham.

Time to raise the standard and get above the fray. Obama mentioned that right after Giffords was shot and in typical fashion he completely disregarded everything that oozed out of his mouth. Whatever floats your boat.

His daughters must be so proud of their father for supporting the likes of misogynist Bill Maher. Hey you little C!@#S come give daddy Obama a hug.

Sandra Fluke is just the latest victim trotted out by the liberals to hide behind.

It won't work. Thanks to Rush now everyone is asking the same question.

Why can't Sandra Fluke pay for her own birth control?

If we have to pay for the sex, then should we also pay for the roses, dinner and the

movie tickets also?

Yes, it's time to get back on message.

It is not the role of the United States Government to throw around $100 million fines at

the Catholic Church. ObamaCare is unconstitutional.

Choice is a good thing. We don't need the iron fist of socialism attacking us.
