Official List Of Words Feds Monitor On Social Networking Sites

(nolink)

The Feds have been forced to release their social network monitoring manual, which contains the list of words the government watches on social media and news sites.

Earlier the Huffington Post reported on the Feds have been forced to give up their list of words they monitor on Facebook, Twitter, and comments being posted on news articles so I compiled that list below.
(visit the link for the full news article)

EDIT: WTF is going on here? It says "nolink" in the post but during editing it clearly doesn't say it.

Either way, here is the original manual with the list in it:

There's already a thread on this in the New World Order forum, but I think this deserves to be posted here as well since this thread is more general and frequented by more members.

Basically, here is the list of words that triggers observation of your social networking by shady government organizations. Why? For American national security, of course

It has never been as Orwellian as this.

[link to the blog doesn't seem to be very friendly so just check out the link to the manual in the first post]

Listen to the suits try to justify this observation campaign. Listen to what the guy says in the last minute of the video.

The linking system doesn't seem to be cooperating... it looks like blogspot is banned from use on ATS.

Here's the goods anyways:

Yes,
seconded. Does not work.
Oh there's a link there, you can choose "quote" to see it. It must be banned by ATS, which is filtering it out so it doesn't work, but it's there.

Thanks for the list.

Now you know what an ATS link ban looks like. That's WTF is going on, apparently ATS doesn't like some sources, but it looks like you found another one they like.

Apparently the list is still secret, hope you made a copy or an image from a screen capture.

(edit)
Thanks, now I'll surf around the internet and post thousands of documents with those words just to keep them busy.

I guess we're all on "the list". Thanks for this.

So I guess it is safe to say the Feds will be monitoring this topic since you just posted all their keywords in one place. lol

The must get a LOT of false positives if this list is the real deal.

Why would they care if somebody is talking about the weather? I can understand the other stuff, but seriously, what does the weather have to do with any terrorist threat?

Ditto on the many thanks for this very long list
Hopefully this will put to rest the debate as to whether those of us here on ATS have, at some point, been monitored, lol.

Also, I have to compliment Congressman Pat Meehan for questioning the validity and intended purpose of this list, even if any explanation given needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Be cognizant of NDAA when using a multiple of these words, people.

So now we need everyone to put 4-5 keywords
into each post/signature on every website they use.

thousands using the keywords in every post ...
will make them useless
(or give the Alphabet Boys a lot of Overtime sifting through useless posts with keywords)

Well the feds do monitor conspiracy sites. That's why it says no link.

I cant wonder but how effective they are? Judging from the terms found on that list, they would require an entire team of people just to monitor this site. Multiply that across the net and you quickly realize it's likely the case that they aren't very effective at it.

Free speech meets big big big big brother. Thanks for the smaller government people previously known as candidates.

Congrats human race. This is a great trajectory to be on and witnessing.

Wow, some of those are completely ridiculous.

Don't talk about snow guys, it'll make you a potential terrorist.

known code words maybe? People do not always say what they mean when trying to talk secretly amongst themselves, also.

Cool topic thanks for the information.

I don't really use Facebook, I have an account but I think the whole thing is a little silly.

You are better off writing a letter and sending it snail mail if you want to have any privacy these days. Just think about who may be listening to your cell phone calls. Not a bad idea to have access to a landline.
