I saw ILikeStars thread and it made me wonder just who Jesus would vote for?
I did a search and 3 pages in, this topic wasn't coming up.
Although I'm sure there are many.

So yes, first of all, Jesus wouldn't be allowed to vote
in the US election but.... Who would it be if he could?
Don't wimp out and say no one because he wouldn't vote
for your guy and you know it.

If it's Romney, please include the parable of
"Let the chariot makers fail".

And if it's Paul please include the parable
"Pulling yourself up by your sandal straps".

Obama... I'll leave that to you, I'm sure you'll have plenty.
I am curious to see how y'all are going to get around healthcare thing.
Social safety nets are a big priority for Jesus. At least thats what I've read .
Can't trust the BSM though. (Bible Stream Media)

Jesus wouldn't vote... Nor would he be involved in the political process in a direct way.

He would be too busy healing the sick, preaching the gospel of love and forgiveness, and helping the needy.

Everything else is distraction.

I know you didn't want it as a response, but I'm not sure Jesus would vote. He said His Kingdom wasn't of this world. His attention was focused on people's souls and their eternal life. He almost acted as though government was irrelevant, except that rulers were to be obeyed.

He was a big fan of individuals giving to other individuals. He even applauded the poor woman who threw two cents into the collection plate when that was all she had.

I suspect He would have wanted a government that made it easier for people to lead holy lives, supporting each other. Jesus was big on the individual, not so much on the group. Which candidate that translates to? I don't know, probably not Obama.

I'M PRETTY SURE JESUS WOULD VOTE FOR HIMSELF. JUST SAYIN...

the man turned water into wine...how hard would it be to program "jesus" into the computer software as a ballot option?

I think Jesus would be sitting somewhere with his feet up, beer in one hand a smoke in the other chuckling at how tptb never can seem to get it right . Be yourself, encourage one another. I think he was probably a guy you would want to hang with, having too much fun partying with the children of God to have time to vote. Just my 2 cents.

Jesus would have tossed a glitter bomb at the first Senator he came across, been jumped by the Secret Service, and crucified on Capitol Hill. And as they strung him up a bunch of angry white men would have called him hippy and radical and socialist.

BINGO. Jesus wouldn't have voted. He wouldn't be so involved in the mundane. He came to save souls. He didn't even have money to pay the temple tax so he 'arranged' for Peter to catch a fish with enough money in it to pay the tax. 'Give unto ceasar what is ceasars ...' Definately ... he wouldn't have gotten involved. He would have been too busy preaching truth ...

This is not boding well for your candidates.
Are your religious beliefs and politics in alignment?

I thought you were asking who Jesus would vote for. I didn't realize you were really asking "Who would you vote for if you say you are a follower of Jesus."

Different question, give me a minute.

Newt Gingrich is the most logical choice.

Because he would be able to go to the Moonbase and away of all this nonsense going on right now.
