Tom Daschle getting kicked out of the catholic church?

well looks like my home senator is stirring up more trouble. this time he's got the catholic church on him.



TOM DASCHLE may no longer call himself a Catholic. The Senate minority leader and the highest ranking Democrat in Washington has been sent a letter by his home diocese of Sioux Falls, sources in South Dakota have told The Weekly Standard, directing him to remove from his congressional biography and campaign documents all references to his standing as a member of the Catholic Church.

well that would be nice, but you gotta start somewhere. the latest polls here in south dakota show him losing his next election, if it were held today. so there's some hope.

As a memebr of the democrat party, I think this guys "leadership" is part of the problem we face. I swear if we don't pull away from the socialistic views of these extremists, I'm leaving the party. I'm all for different views being presented but even a supporter can see that this guy and really, a lot of our party is not really worrying about whats right and wrong but just want to disagree with Bush. I've seen them block things that would allow the economy to come back simply because they want it to be bad in this presidency. I also see this hurting working people while we wait to get one of ours elected. I don't think this is the right move and I think people can't be kept in ignorance in this age like in the past. So, I hope Mr. Daschle's career is nearing an end. He's done more to plunge this country into its current economic woes than the people he blames for them. People like him can talk all they want but ACTIONS speak so much louder. If you really care about the US economy,Mr. Daschle, stop blocking the stimulus package, give up some of your power back to the people and lets get this dynamo cranking again. We've come a long way from the likes of Old Hickory.

Didnt daschle come up with an act that prevented US service members from voting real time at foreign military bases, and relagated thier votes to absentee ballots cast months in advance (meaning many would not vote, and giving opportunity for them to be lost in transit?)

yes dragon rider he did that. he also sued to not allow military absentee ballots to be counted in the 2000 election. i send him an email everyday asking him to reconsider running for president in '04 because we have a law here that you can't run for 2 offices during the same election. so if he would just run we would be rid of him because he wouldn't win.
