The only thing I DO agree with 100% is the Drug Screening. I lived in a pretty bad area in a city in PA & I know these people are using drugs & still getting Foods stamps & SSI . Drug screening should be the FIRST part of applying for state assistance PERIOD. Because there is NO excuse for my tax money to be going to people who use the assistance for drugs.

I kind of agree with you here. But on the condition that politicians are drug screened as well.

That article seems to be a troll, my evidence is that he suggests screening for nicotine...
That's what we need.
A bunch of hungry, nicotine craving people, who can't vote. that'll turn out well.

On second thought, after actually reading the article, he seems to just be very uninformed and ignorant. And a douche.

Well ....gee considering the fact that over half the recipients of food stamps are children I agree that infants and that whiny toddler next door should wait 18 more years to vote!

Almost half of all participants are children (under age 18). 69 percent of food stamp recipients are children, elderly and disabled persons. 6.7 percent of all participants are elderly (age 60 or over).
dss.sd.gov...

On a serious note why are we so quick to pick on our disabled , elderly and most disadvantaged citizens? Is it just easier to pick on each-other than go after the real problems (people) that are taking away wealth ?

hey guys... I hate to burst anyone's anti-tobacco, puritanical balloon but... the moment that you make it an offense to smoke cigarettes, for any reason... any at all, the next thing you'll hear is the sound of big brother coming to piss test you for eating the wrong foods, drinking the wrong fluids and above all, reading the wrong websites.

Leave smokers alone. Leave the poor alone. Leave PEOPLE alone.

HAHA Yes he seems to have his own issues, But I think the tobacco testing is stupid. I smoke cigarettes & I quick & started again but I dont think that has ANYTHING to do with voting or food stamps . I think its kind of funny he even included that.

Sounds good to me once upon a time in America millions of Americans never in their lives would take a handout but today all they do is vote themselves handouts.

When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.

Benjamin Franklin

Social programs do nothing for the people but to keep them enslaved to Government that have become the biggest detriment to this nation.

"A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have...."

Thomas Jefferson

People still don't get that the only thing people do in this country today is sell their votes the simple fact if people want to help others there is nothing stopping them.

The problems is Government robbing from peter to pay paul and has ran out of peters and has created to many pauls.

That may be true for your family, but my family used student loans, PAID them off and are all the better
for it. That is where personal responsibility kicks in, you should consider that most people desire to have
good lives and high esteem, there is not much esteem in being dependent for too long.

I agree with leaving people alone, but I do not think that means you have to look the
other way whilst people suffer.

I had a student loan. I've been on unemployment benefits once....my parents were on food stamps for a short stint when I was young. I went to a public school. My god, I've even used public welfare roads....AND STREETLIGHT!!!!

Yes, i'm whoring on that free light every day! I'm out of control!!!!!! That's literally Neo's taxdollars shining a light in the darkness!

Just call me a socialist marxist islamist from Kenya....that's all I am! Leeching off the good, warm hearted fellows like Neo!

I fully 100% agree with the guy.

voting while on Government programs is a blatant conflict of interest.

And no one on food stamps should be smoking, drinking or enjoying anything other than the food they need to survive.

They shouldn't be allowed to buy a new car, expensive electronics outside of a house phone, go on vacations or make improvements to their dwellings.

People on food stamps should also be subject to a bi-weekly visit from child protective services if they have children, and if there is not food suitable to a healthy diet for their children they lose their children and their government aid.

Anyone found violating any rules above should be forced to work to pay back 100% of all the benefits they received.

I do love it when liberals try to lecture about personal responsibility.

That was hilarious.

I'd agree with the alcohol testing (if under 21 or have convictions related to alcohol abuse) and drug testing. Small bonus checks to any females taking birth control and not pregnant.

And whoever can still vote need to pass a test on current issues.

The founders wanted people to vote... but they wanted an informed population, which most voters definitely aren't.

The founders wanted white men to vote...not women, not any other race...just white men.

So forgive me if I don't defer to their judgment on who they thought should vote.

Well...I guess that means the military should have their voting rights revoked.

You know...conflict of interest and all.

Are you saying the military does not work for their money and benefits?

Because last I checked sitting on your fat ass stuffing your face with food bought by tax payers wasn't considered "working"

Good, I'm glad you like to learn sometimes.

Your thought process can be construed as hilarious, but I don't think you
should be so hard on yourself.

Actually, many go on and off unemployment as they skip across varying military jobs. Some have huge chunks of their mortgages paid each month as well.

So should crusty ass old people who go doctors that Neo has to pay for.
If they feel sick, they should go jogging and eat a salad.

Or Maybe we should implant cameras in eat lazy person's forehead so we can employ
three government workers to make sure they aren't eating the wrong food.
