A senior Israeli official is apparently letting the cat out of the bag !!

The official is claiming that behind the scenes negotiations are happening in preparation for a March 5th Obama/Netanyahu meeting in Washington D.C.

Netanyahu wants a firmer commitment from the U.S. on an Iran attack plan.

The official also claims that an air of mistrust exists on both sides and that the White House feels that Netanyahu may be influencing members of Congress as well as Republican Presidential candidates.

Latest update 02:41 29.02.12 -- Haaretz, Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to publicly harden his line against Iran during a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington on March 5, according to a senior Israeli official.

Israel wants Obama to make further-reaching declarations than the vague assertion that "all options are on the table," the official said. In particular, Netanyahu wants Obama to state unequivocally that the United States is preparing for a military operation in the event that Iran crosses certain "red lines," said the official; Israel feels this will increase pressure on Iran by making clear that there exists a real U.S. threat.

The Obama administration's suspicions concerning Netanyahu were further fueled after Netanyahu and his advisers briefed a group of senators and senior congressmen during the past two weeks on the Iranian issue, and asked them to pressure Obama on the matter. Last week, Netanyahu met a group of five senior senators over lunch, headed by Sen. John McCain, who ran four years ago against Obama for president. Netanyahu reportedly told the senators he was not interfering in U.S. politics and expected U.S. officials not to interfere in Israeli politics either.

The topic quickly turned to Iran, according to reports. Netanyahu apparently complained bitterly about certain officials in the Obama administration who spoke out against an Israeli strike on Iran. But between the lines, some suggest that Netanyahu was speaking about Obama himself, as well as the other very senior officials in the administration. He reportedly told the senators that this kind of public discourse serves the Iranians.

Intensive preparations underway to ensure a successful meeting between the two leaders next week in Washington, despite lack of trust between two sides

Israel seems to be looking for firm support.

Will Obama give it to them ?

Should Obama give it to them ?

Before President Obama goes and meets with him, he should watch the following,

And then decide that maybe letting Israel and Iran sort out their differences on their own would be in America's best interest. Besides, we're broke and those bombs sure are expensive.

Madmen on the verge of wielding nukes need to be prevented from causing the deaths of millions. Read here:www.abovetopsecret.com...

If a psychopath were standing on a street corner in America wielding a machete while innocent people walked by, and he were threatening the destruction of neighborhoods and people, someone is going to take him down and prevent murder. Iran is a madman. Iran's leader(s) have called for the destruction of Israel and the West. Iran is developing nuclear technology (weaponization is easy after that).

THESE ARE **FACTS**.

What would you have the world do? Sit back and accept execution? It is not in the nature for GOOD PEOPLE to sit by and let EVIL PEOPLE progress their hateful agenda.

I think it's all a big joke.

Obama's masters are the same as Bibi's masters. It's just that the ones controlling Bibi want war now while those controlling Obama want war later. Just a question of timing and political capital so Obama can say ``I didn't want this but the Iranians attacked us first`` and the sheeple will buy this BS hook, line and sinker.

It's only a power struggle between those sides of the same coin, the people has no say in all this.

The US, no matter what happens, will be dragged into this.

By treaty, the US has to give oil and weapons to Israel... and US troops in Afghanistan will get attacked, not to mention ships in the area.

Good! The fight is coming out into the open!
Will Netanyahu have the audacity to directly insult the President again in public?
Frankly, I would not bet against it. The Israelis might feel that this will be their last straw and push to the extreme for official support.

. After that last fiasco where Netanyaho dressed down the President to his face, I can't imagine that Obama's people will allow that to happen again.

The MSM will be trying to thrust Netanyaho and his arguments into our faces. Surely, the Prez's folks will be trying to keep him in the background. If that turns out not to be the case, expect the worse. However, our military will not be happy if these guys seem to end on a buddy-buddy,-I'll-do-anything-for-you relationship.

You are kidding, right? Obama is the one that has been treating Israel and Netanyahu in an unprofessional manner. And if Netanyahu 'urges' Obama to do something, I'd betchya Obama would do just the opposite. It's what he was trained to do during his 20 years at that Black Liberation Theology cult in Chicago.

New York Times

JERUSALEM — The president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, told President Obama that he could no longer bear Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, and went on to call Mr. Netanyahu a “liar” in a private conversation overheard by several French journalists last week at the Group of 20 summit meeting in Cannes.

“You are fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you,” Mr. Obama replied, according to reports that flooded the main Israeli news sites on Tuesday.

Obama Snubs Netanyahu at the White House

The White House denied Netanyahu the red carpet treatment generally afforded to visiting heads of state. The Israeli prime minister and Obama didn’t pose for photos together, and Netanyahu was excluded from dinner with the president Tuesday night.

When Netanyahu wouldn’t agree to concessions, Obama left a meeting with him, though he invited Netanyahu to stay at the White House, talk to Obama advisers and “let me know if there is anything new,” a U.S. congressman who spoke to Netanyahu, told The Times of London. “It was awful,” the congressman said.

One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages,” conducted in such an adversarial environment that the Israeli delegation eventually left, worried that their White House phone conversations were being bugged. Another Israeli paper wrote that Netanyahu received “the treatment reserved for the president of Equatorial Guinea”.

How come all the people who invoke the "Iran wants to destroy Israel & the West" argument never ask themselves WHY IS IT THAT IRAN FEELS THIS WAY?

In the past 60 years the United States has:

1. Overthrown the legitimate, free-market, secular, Western-style DEMOCRACY in Iran.
2. Funded and armed BOTH SIDES of the Iranian Civil War.
3. Funded and armed Saddam Huessein in the Iraq-Iran War which resulted in more Iranian casualties than the U.S. suffered in the Pacific and European theatre's COMBINED.
4. Implemented COUNTLESS acts of economic sanctions and/or efforts to cripple the Iranian economy.
5. Threatening Iran with military force for excercising their LEGAL RIGHT to build a nuclear power plant and enrich uranium IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL LAW AND THE NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFERATION TREATY.

...and we wonder why Iran is pissed? Seriously?

We threw an international temper-tantrum because we lost 3,500 or so people on 9-11 and subsequently bombed two countries to rubble. U.S. actions have cost the Iranians well over 750,000 lives since we threw the country into chaos in 1953.

Yeah. Iran is the "madman" and the United States only wears white cowboy hats. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

Backing or not backing Israel...well, might be no backing in declarations, but surely there will be a backing after Israel bombs Iran.

US will get dragged into this no matter what Obama will say or not say.
