BBC's technology show Click reported on the possibility of it years ago as a way to help paraplegics access and use technology like able bodied people by using their thoughts.

Think they showed a demo of it working too, was pretty cool.

I dont think we will actually get to the point of an implanted chip. the people are waking up in mass, and this whole 'second holocaust' plan will not work out. the powers that be still think it might, but i highly doubt it considering how fast people are waking up.
