The U.S government has a thing called checks & balances so let's factor in the 535 members of congress and the 3600 federal judges. There are about 31 african american members of congress but I can't find a statistic for the judges, so that given I'd estimate the ratio of blacks to non-blacks in a position of power in the federal government to be very lopsided in heavy favor of non-blacks

Well my sir here in the wonderfully diverse city of Chicago literally thousands of African-Americans who had the same exact and sometimes superior qualifications of other fireman candidates that were not black, immediately got bypassed because of the color of their skin.

City award millions and will hire 111 african-americans

Chicago will hire 111 bypassed black firefighters by March 2012 and pay at least $30 million in damages to some 6,000 others who will never get that chance, under a court order expected to be approved Wednesday by a federal judge.

I think in 2001 Chicago had the highest murder rate in the country and a staggaring amount of the homicide victims were black. The Ford plant was recently hiring and people lined up for blocks and blocks in freezing temperatures. So yes black people want to work, black people want a better future for themselves. The lawless lifestyle is quickly losing favor among black youth. Trust me I've done both.

There is no such thing as a black only college in the United States of America. Persons who are not black might be dissuaded from attending a historically black college for obvious reasons, but of course anyone can apply and be accepted regardless of race. The mission of a historically black college is to maintain and promote the legacy of higher education of black people.

Again Captain; you scare me a great deal with your obvious lack of knowledge coupled with the desire to share incorrect concepts with the public as if they are fact. If you are of voting age I will double down on that fear.

The system of checks and balances to which you refer in terms of the U.S. government is with regard to the balance of power between the three branches of government not the many races of the countries residents.

There is a failed experiment called affirmative action which allotted preference to minorities in hiring for government employment in the hopes it would break the cycle of poverty - we all see how well that worked. Perhaps that is what you are confusing with checks and balances? I don't know...

Classic...I wanted to see how diverse these HBC's really were...without looking I guessed (correctly) that a HBC would be dead last on this ranking.

I even guessed which one (correctly).

Howard U. with a ranking of 0.02 on a scale of 0.00 to 1.00 with 1.00 being the most diverse student body.

I only checked my hypothesis on the last one so don't know where the other HBC's fall - I would guess at the bottom as well.

Just because things are uncomfortable to talk about does not mean that they are wrong or racist. White power and Black power do not hold the same meanings today that they did 50 years ago. I'm sorry, but that you have to let go, we live in the now, not in the yesterday which happened to be closer to a century ago. Black power is a term for black superiority, in todays world.

You know whats funny, is I see all these racist black dudes banging white girls left and right. Do you know why that is?
