UFO Returns Over Oregon 2.23.12

I did not see this posted anywhere and it's the first I'm catching of it. Not sure when it was over Oregon originally but from the title, this isn't it's maiden voyage apparently.

But quite impressive even though I instinctively think, man-made. But of what? And why?
What's with that red-light configuration in front?

Whatever it is and wherever it originated it looks ominous. I wouldn't be too thrilled seeing that over my house at night.

(filmed & copyright by whotookmymojo) A UFO flyover returning & moving along a similar flight path left to right through the valley. The array of lights towards the front of the craft seem to morph shape.

At minute-mark 1:28 I swear I saw right through this object.
It looks like a star coming into view at 1:26 then it's smack in the middle of this thing. Am I right?

Did you notice at about 1:07 something in the background flies from right to left, whole frame, above the object. It was fast too.

I was checking the utbe comments and someone suggested a helicopter with the instruments lit up inside. It does look like a helicopter tail/prop in the back with normal lights, but I don't know about the lights in front.

If it was tilted back perspectively, maybe?

But the front lights in the vid all have consistent color/intensity, so I don't know mon.'

My gut reaction when I hear someone calling this a helicopter is, the video person must've known that then. How do you NOT hear a helicopter?

I want to believe people at first and give them the benefit so helicopter is off my check-list ....for now.

Plus, if it was a solid object, why did I see through it?

Some times (and I'm not saying this is the case with this particular video YET but...) some times, there just aren't any good explanations and we should be okay with that.
I personally don't feel I have to make things fit just to satisfy a mystery.

And not to nit-pick here but the amount of lights are way off. This thing in the video had a cluster of red light. Not so for this helicopter.

I think that was a natural celestial object. A planet or a star perhaps?

I'd be curious to find out what kind of equipment he used because either this object was relatively close or he had a very decent zoom lens.

And if it was close then, he'd hear that it was a helicopter.
And if he used a zoomed then, why would a helicopter be traveling at such an elevated height at night?

Where is everybody? I thought this thread would get inundated with opinions!
Oh well. Guess we'll have to wait until the bars close up Gawd knows I love belligerent know-it-all drunks!

Around 1995 or 1996, summer, a friend and I were camping in the hills above Ashland, Oregon. It was just after
dark, we were laying out our sleeping bags under the stars, and, booooooom! I have told my only UFO story over the years, and described the sound as like several jet engines, loud, rumbling. And up over the ridge, just above the treeline, was this - craft- lights, we could not discern a definite shape. Well, it traversed the ridgeline, and not so fast; we watched it fly all the way from the left to right of our vision. it was up there for about 20 seconds, loud and
very close. God, I was yelling at my friend, DO YOU SEE THAT?!... It appeared and sounded like nothing man made, and besides it was far too low to the trees to be an aircraft. Right over them. It finally disappeared over the other side of the mountain.
This was one of the most phenomenal experiences of my life. And shared, verified, with another person. And years later I told the story to a local who may have seen the same thing at the same time in those mountains.
I have always described it as a bunch of lights, or a triangle of lights, with one big flashing light, that (the craft was so low!) lit up the bottom of the clouds above.
So, I would like to know about the implied first sighting of the craft in the vid. Did it make noise? What part of Oregon when?
See, I opened the vid, and THAT is the UFO we saw! The unique light pattern, and even the rhythm of the pulsing light are the same!
Is there more info about this video? That thing I think is what I saw.
And if this a hoax, then, well, weird...

Looks weird.

But who knows what it is.

It looks like a chopper. We are watching a highly edited video. Maybe the sound of it was edited out. We talked about on the live show t'night, many choppers are now stealth....and very silent.

I am of the camp that I dont believe witness testimony just because. the evidence needs to match the testimony....and well, it looks like a chopper....i dont believe the testimony matches what is being seen.

Maybe contact him and ask for raw footage w/ all sound and no editing at all....until then...we are watching edited footage.....even then, he could edit the sound and we wouldnt know...

Like I said, this is the first I'm hearing of any supposed sightings in Oregon. I didn't even look through his videos. Maybe it's there.
So maybe Oregon is an unknown (non-famous) hot-spot after all. The late 90's were packed with UFO sightings and breath-taking crop circles as well.

Thanks for sharing your story. It helps to corroborate this footage a bit.

Highly edited video? You're just highly suspicious. I'll admit I'm no Eastman heir and know little (but enough) about film and the only place I saw that MIGHT'VE been edited was at .48 seconds mark. This was clean footage.

Stealth chopper? Well he wasn't doing such a great job of stealth-ing himself.

Pretty strange, to say the least. It's hard to tell what we're looking at here, but I'm just not getting helicopter for some reason. What's with the beard of bees light configuration on the front? What kind of purpose might that serve on a helicopter? It seems like the lights on conventional aircraft tend to have some definite purpose in their placement, color etc. Can anyone suggest a possible reason for a rather random clump of red lights on the front of a helicopter?

I agree. I don't know what it is but I'm pretty certain it's not a helicopter.

I looked through some of his other videos and this guy is a UFO-magnetic. Alien or man-made.

It supposedly happens to quite a few people. Either they're extremely lucky and are able to catch these UFOs over and over again or....they're meant to catch them over and over again.

I just don't get a hoax-ish feeling with this.

It isn't hiding that's for sure. Could it be a blimp? On the suggestion of noise accompanying a helicopter - I know some helicopters that are nearly silent but this doesn't look like one to me, though I am no aircraft specialist mind you.

OK...found something that looks similar. If, it were something like this, the object flying at 1:07, right to left on the video you posted, could have been a high altitude commercial AC. I posted 2 differnt types of vids.

Guess I'm curious why everyone expects alien craft to have lights? After all, our very own Space Shuttle didn't have external lights (based on night landing photographs available everywhere online.

This looks like a search and rescue helicopter en route to some sort of incident - nothing out of the ordinary. You can also tell the video has been edited. It rolls over a few times and this is a sign of hoax footage in my opinion. I still wonder why people carry on doing this, its getting boring!
