U.S. Agencies See No Move by Iran to Build a Bomb

www.nytimes.com

Even as the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog said in a new report Friday that Iran had accelerated its uranium enrichment program, American intelligence analysts continue to believe that there is no hard evidence that Iran has decided to build a nuclear bomb.

Recent assessments by American spy agencies are broadly consistent with a 2007 intelligence finding that concluded that Iran had abandoned its nuclear weapons program years earlier, according to current and former American officials.

This news won't stop the war drums, just as it didn't stop the war drums on Iraq. It doesn't matter what the truth is, just what the American public BELIEVES is the truth. Media know this and use it to their advantage.

Words have meaning... just as the lack of words has meaning...

71% of Americans think Iran already has the Bomb

Most Americans also believed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction...

I don't believe that poll should be taken too seriously. It was taken in 2010.

Interviews with 1,023 adult Americans, including 954 registered
voters, conducted by telephone by Opinion Research Corporation
on February 12-15, 2010.

Here's the catch...the question that asks if they believe Iran has weapons says this:

(ASKED OF HALF SAMPLE. RESULTS BASED ON 501 INTERVIEWS IN VERSION B.
SAMPLING ERROR: +/- 4.5 PERCENTAGE POINTS.)

71 percent of 501 is 356 people. I hardly think that speaks for America. So have faith!

That just seems like more propaganda to get people aboard the war wagon to me.
