I honestly think there is no more real agenda than a short term political gain.

It's basically a misinformation campaign that the originators lost control of... that's what I think...

Obama is too different for a huge slice of America to accept at face value, and like people seeing patterns in clouds, people allowed their image of him to be moulded by their imagination and by extremely blatant propaganda.

Those people though are doubly delusional though, as anyone on the hard left will tell you. Obama is not really hugely liberal.

So not only do you have to choose to ignore information, lies and sources, you also have to invent an entire legislative agenda for the man which doesn't exist.

Weak on military? Nope.
Weak on the economy? Not really... not in the sense that Republicans would like. He's mostly followed THEIR game plan.
Socialist medicine? Hardly. His plan was basically written by the insurance industry.
Anti-business? The guy with all the bank CEOs in his cabinet? No.

And on and on.

Most on the left see him as a failure, but a better alternative than Romney, Santorum, et al.

Anyway, I go on...

I think basically, the BS merchants on the right (Whitewater, Vince Foster, etc.) created a monster. That monster has actually #ed them. It's helped radicalise huge swathes of the the GOP and that in turn has created this cluster# of a primary.

When he history book are written, in a hundred years, part of Obama's victory in 2012 will come back to the own-goal that is the birther movement.

I didn't vote for Obama, I am not in any political party - hell I'm not even American - but I do know that if the US wants to be taken seriously as a world power then it sure as hell has to start being a little more rational than this rubbish!

I'm actually pretty anal in real life about spelling and grammar, but on places like ATS I tend to be a bit freer with little turns of speech, etc. Why not enjoy yourself?

If people can't see past "prolly" to the data than there's nothing I can do...

I have no desire to regulate my "speech" on ATS any more than I already do. If you're focusing on me shortening probably to prolly you're looking at the wrong thing.
