And no one in America even noticed. In fact, we did not take to the streets and chant death to (insert least favorite middle eastern country here) while burning down our local embassy.

One can truly start to lose sympathy for a people who are so overzealous and easily angered. Rioting and killing people over burning their favorite fairy tale book is like soooooo 1000ad.......

Mods, this is a joke, did not find a humor section, please move at will.

Islam is just that, its an ancient religion for an ancient people, they've been there a long ass time. But they're still under something that was meant for a thousand years ago, not for modern times.

Yes i see the stupidity, but i bet christians are pretty ticked about it,

Of course Christianity is 600 years older than Islam, and Judaism has them both beat by at least a millennia. but for some reason Islam and its people seems to have stopped developing.

I don't know about other Christians, but I'm not concerned about the burning of Bibles. That's between them and God. I'd rather that the smoke or noise not come in through my window, but other than that, no big deal for me.

It doesn't hurt me, and it certainly doesn't hurt God. No harm, no foul.

Its because they worship a warmonger and a killer, I can say that about christianity/islam and judaism, that is just my own personal belief about it. I believe they were a good idea at first, and slowly warped of hundreds and hundreds of years to suit the needs of a select few, i personally think it was the priests that brought it about, when people have power (even religious power) it gives them a swelled head,

I would not put it past someone in that low point in our evolution, (i use the term loosely). In order to control masses, you have to keep them at eachothers throats. Its more than possible for all religious to live in peace. IF you leave religion out of politics and government, dont even associate them together, it just creates problems.

A lot of our history has been lost because archaeologists who practice islam(most archaeologists are of this sort) believe the world is 6,000 years old, and if there is any evidence contrary to that belief, then it is a)destroyed or b) 'put away' or what have you, they refuse to talk about it because the world is only 6000 years old (to them, and i believe its the same there as it was here 150 years ago, where you HAD to believe or you were killed, witch trials anyone?), (also, check out water erosion on the sphynx, muslim archaeologists don't like to acknowledge the fact that this structure might be double the age of the creation story)

I can also say the same about catholocism and christianity as well, the vatican controlled archaeology for the longest time, same as above, artifacts stolen, destroyed, hidden away. Our history is a mess. And it is because of mans inability to accept new evidence contrary to that belief.

I must reiterate, i am not anti-religion in the sense of your personal beliefs, i support and love everyones beliefs equally. That is ones own personal choice and i accept that and will never try to change it in anyone, i just dont like that fact that it has been perverted to such a degree that its a literal hell on earth.

I find it highly interesting that the original hebrew bible might be over 10,000 years old, but that doesnt mean that is is the same today as it was 10,000 years ago, its interesting that the tree of life comes out of it, i think the hebrews came here during the time of atlantis, but thats a story for another time

My thoughts exactly on this thread.

I mean, you could've at leats threw a joke in there like "where did Saddam Hussein keep his toast? In Iraq" or something.

I'd imagine some Americans wouldn't get that because they pronounce it as "eye rack" for some reason. Is there a pair of countries out there called Youraq and Meraq too? Do you pronounce "is" as "eyes"?

Good one. I sometimes think those who pronounce it that way do it to be insulting and to marginalize them even more. Or they're just a bunch of dumb-a**es.

ETA: Yeah--about the Bibles: So the hell what? There's nothing sacred or holy about the book itself. Same with the Quran. I sometimes wonder why people think they need to protect or assist God in whatever plan they think he has going. He probably really doesn't need (nor appreciate) our help; that's my assessment....

The reason why no bible reader would be up in arms is because we all have a digital copy. Kindle, IPad, etc...

Totally agree.

But concerning Islam, it does seem that the religion is in a retarded development stage. And I emphasize retarded.
