Found this and thought it was quite beautiful and uplifting. Ms. Wang is really talented. Watching her is poetry in motion.

Description of video:

The wonderful and AMAZING Nastaha Wang recently who won the 2011 US Pole Dance Championship in New York, was invited to perform live on The View. Natasha has had an incredible year in 2010 and continueing into 2011, winning so many competitions in the pole dancing arena. She is a very sweet and kind gifted athlete who's dance, fluid movement, strength and grace is what wows the audience as she performs and competes for her fans

and this next one is amazing.

Just something to hopefully lighten your day............war, famine, end times - we all need a little beauty and something to lighten and inspire us, if but for a few minutes.

Enjoy.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to tell their wives, sisters, and daughters that stripper "dancing" is good.

This is disgusting. Until a few years ago, everyone in the WORLD would have told you this is a whore stripper's presentation of her hoo hah in your face. That is not "dancing" by any stretch of the imagination. At best, it's like a really weak form of gymnastics with 90 percent legs spread aimed at the audience.

What next? Blow job competition? Who can shoot a ping pong ball out of her hoo hah the furthest?

Signs of the accelerating decline of our society.

I'm quite sure this ladies hoohaa is firmly wedged in her skimpies with body glue just like any other professional gymnast or dancers.

Poster above me would have probably gone into apoplexy over the waltz being riotous and indecent too - had they been around in such an era.

There's actually classes for this for soccer moms, these days...(pole or stripper dancing)
There's videos, etc. for it....I think Carmen Electra even has a line of them.

While I appreciate it, I have to agree it should be either in the strip clubs or the bedroom though...

i understand yalls concerns though they said the same thing about hip shaking back in the day the only way to make it not "trashy" is to do it respectfully in public besides look at someone who wears a skin tight outfit in theater or other dances... doesn't leave much to the imagination and its considered a great art. Eventually we will move past this and find something more obscene just like there's a difference between artistic nudity and a pornographic picture.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it.

My son was in gymnastics and to perform what this lady does and she is fully clothed and not making any gyrating jesters is pure (in my opinion) poetry in motion.

I have been a artist, dancer (not exotic, ballet & modern) and many other things.

You try to do just 1/10 th of these maneuvers.

This took a lot of hard work. It is equivalent to doing work on a horizontal horse or bar, but even harder because you have gravity working against you.

At no time did this young lady present herself as anything but dignified and a true master of her body.

She did not strip, she did not gyrate her hips sexually.

Her routine was gymnastic and my middle son did work on a horizontal bar and that alone took hours and hours of pain staking work and mastery of his muscles and coordination of movement.

I disagree.

Try holding your body completely horizontal with only your hands gripping a pole for two minutes like she did.

She was dress like a gymnasts and at no time danced like a stripper or took off her clothes revealing her private parts.

I've seen a "pole dancer" (on TV) and this lady did not replicate that, she was again doing a gymnastic feat on a vertical vs horizontal bar.

Because the pole has now been linked up in your mind with stripper - you out and out closed your heart off to how phenomenal she performed.

If her performance sexually aroused you - well, a man in tights doing ballet, the Argentinians in their little soccer shorts get me feeling pretty frisky.

This was not a simple "pole dancer" this was a gymnast that operated on a vertical bar and defied gravity because her muscle tone, training and devotion was such that she literally conquered gravity in several of those moves.

From a dancers prospective (no I never did any kind of dancing that I would not be proud to show the world) - this gal was very good.

How about dressing little girls up to look and strut around like 20+ year old girls.

How about Madonna at half time (occult and sexual).

How about Lady Gaga?

How about the Walt Disney Channel where the little teenage girls, barely hitting puberty dressing like they do?

90% of our movies and TV are trash.

Even Dancing With The Stars is trashy at times.

Again, this was a gymnastic feat....................nothing more.

You have hooked up pole dancing with strippers and can't think horizontal bar vs vertical bar work and can't see beyond that.

She's quite an athlete, no doubt.

But she definitely aimed her wide-open 'hoo-hah' at the audience. It may be dignified where you come from, but my daughters aren't allowed to do that.

She did not strip, she did not gyrate her hips sexually.

The girl who brings the drinks to your table in a strip bar doesn't always strip; she may never gyrate either. But that doesn't keep her from seeming like a whore.

No doubt she's a gymnast with skill. But that doesn't automatically exclude her from bein' a ho. Your comparison with the reality TV beauty pageants is completely apt, and kind of underscores how raunch is pervasive in our culture.

Putting on a donkey show requires a certain amount of athleticism, too. But that doesn't make it art. Unless that's the donkey's name.

Eating crow and it does not taste good.

Went to another site yesterday April 28, 2012 - a Site that ATS does not approve of and sadly has fought with so I cannot give you a link or any information.

It is a shame that ATS and this other site does not link up or shake hands because this other site very clearly showed me how the exercise or "art" of pole dancing is deceptive and not art.

So, I am eating crow and it doesn't taste good.

This article is called "Losing Femininity in the Elusive Search for Kansas" and was written by Knowledge of Self and Truth Seeker

I am a artist. Have sold a few paintings, not for a lot but have sold a few and look at the naked body sometimes differently than most of you. The way our muscles interlock, the bone structure, the skin and hair - humanity is truly a beautiful creature and when a human can dance, really dance and push their body to the limits, it is poetry in motion, like watching a cheetah run.

Watching a good ballet dancer can make me cry and take my breath away because a really good ballet takes years of discipline.

But, in reviewing this article I can not sadly quote any of and hopefully ATS mods are gracious enough to allow what little clue I have left above because this article is so worth reading.

It describes the difference ends of a spectrum. On one end you have the Middle Eastern Women who wear black blankets that cover every square inch of them and the women are not treated very well in many (not all cases, because you cannot lump everyone in one category, there are nice Middle Eastern Husbands).

And on the other end of the spectrum you have Toddlers and Tiaras, pole dancing strippers, women debasing themselves and boy just look at what Madonna REALLY LOOKS LIKE before the air brushing and soft lens.

Anyway, we are seriously messing up our daughters and grand daughters just as badly or worse than the Middle East.

Many people will get mad at that last statement, but look at sexually - (I've been looking through artist colored glasses). In order to be a really really good pole dancer, one that can compete in world tournaments, you have to have the discipline of a ballerina. In other words, you really must stretch your body to it's limit and beyond. I watched this pole dancer originally posted from a gymnast point of view because I don't see women like well I don't, I like men and have never frequented a place where pole dancing is a regular past time.

However, after reading Naomi Wolf's "The Beauty Myth" we women in the West are just as enslaved as the women in the East except on the other end of the spectrum.

The article says while women in the Middle East, particularly Iran have a in your face gender maltreatment, women in the West do to, except what is done to us Westerners is more subtle and more cunningly done.

I found this picture a good example.

I am 59. Madonna is in her early 50's so she's not that far behind me, yet I have always marveled, even with plastic surgery (and I have two friends that can afford good plastic surgeons) how she can look so good.

Yes make up but more below...........air brushing.

A big difference. However, many Western Women are fooled into thinking the airbrushing on the right is simply, a lot of skillfully placed "make up" and a good plastic surgeon.

Case in point, I have a girlfriend worth some serious money and she is 60. She has had one of the best plastic surgeons in the country and still, while she looks younger than me (who can't afford a plastic surgeon) she doesn't come anywhere close to Madonna on the right...........more like Madonna on the left.

Major conspiracy and I added to it like just another sheeple.

We have so many women in America and England now that self injure themselves (that I cannot understand as I really hate pain :puz

My niece in law is one of many that secretly (she doesn't know I know) she eats very little, watches every single calorie, if she over eats she throws it up and exercises 2-4 hours a day. She is a marathon runner for Cancer. Beautifully bone thin..............notice those words.

I can only speak for myself. When I was young and 36C - 24 - 34 I could not even go shopping, to the cleaners, work, anywhere that some man (and a couple times women) didn't try to get me into their bed. I was young and thin with big breast and a dancer (not exotic - modern and ballet).

I can only speak for American Culture because I am not well traveled.

But what the heck happened?

Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Princess Diana, these were ladies with class, dignity and grace.

Yet now, our country has embraced a ghetto trash culture.

I remember back decades ago when I came to the large Midwest City (one of the largest) only certain women dressed provocative. These ladies were located after dark, on Rush Street (oooops now you might know where I am, but it's a big city
)

When I use to work in nursing, also another big Midwest City, at City Hospital, the only women we got in that were beaten black and blue, full of dope and dressed like whores.............were whores.

Now, we even dress our toddlers like whores.

Sorry, it's not right to take a preschooler and dress them like the above.

If I could take one thread back it would be this one I started.

And there is one book I am buying and reading called, "The Beauty Myth" by Naomi Wolf. It will be the third book of hers I buy. The other two are political ones.

Somewhere we've all lost it.

The Middle East is backwards in many respects and the West is decadent to the point of demented.

How about the middle?

Moderation in all things..............heck even Shakespere said that.

No, I would like to take all my stars away from this post if I got any - Pole Dancing is naughty, it's something that yes a wife can learn so she can maybe frolic with her husband or fiance' - but not a art form worthy of tournaments for public display.

It's a subtle and cunning addition to making the average Western Woman just as much a slave as the Middle Eastern Women.

I don't know if I've explained this well enough, hope you all can find the article and I really wish, because it is such a valuable article someone high up in ATS Land would import this article over.

It is a conspiracy and it's being waged by Hollywood against us women.

Naomi says in under 5 minutes what I'm trying to get at.

To those that reprimanded me, I deserved it this time..........you saw what took me just a little longer.

We as a species are degenerating not progressing.

We need to find a middle of the road.

The Middle East in some respects, now I can see why they don't want our ghetto trashy bing culture - look who many of our young idolize, God, what will they become.

Almost 50% of marriages end in divorce.

My doctor told me "almost everyone drinks or is on some kind of medication"

Somewhere along the line we have lost it.

I'm not even a Bible or Quran Thumper and I can see it.

So, again, I was wrong, pole dancing in a public place, even a gymnasium with men present would not be appropriate.

Pass the crow.....................

We're never to old to learn.

Would I want my grand daughter who celebrated her 11th birthday to take a pole dancing class in public?

NO!

I'd have to stand guard with the steel baseball bat under my bed.

Starred and yes you are right.............see my reply, eating crow.

It's never too late to learn and rethink.

All it takes is one good writer, and I found a article but sadly ATS and this other site are arch enemies which is sad because many of their articles are very note worthy, very mature and insightful.
