Well I haven't read anything on it, but from common sense there is no way JFK would have done that.

I mean why would he? As far as I know Turkey and USSR weren't on good terms, U.S. had its missiles pointing at USSR in Turkey. So why the USSR want Turkey to have some of US missiles, it doesn't make any sense.

The U.S. discarded theater-range (short-to-medium-range) missiles in the 1980s. Even by then, they were very limited.

No the secret agreement was for the US to remove the Jupiter missiles from Turkey within 6 months of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which they did.
There were nuclear weapons in Turkey after this (as Turkey is NATO member ) under dual key agreement, meaning the Turks would have control over the delivery systems and the US would have cintrol of the warheads.

So if the turks were to shoot one with out the Us approval it would just be a dud? How Funny, Imagine seeing a nuke flying over and nothing happens.

Well chances are the warhead wouldn't even be mated to the delivery system these days, actually it wouldn't surprise me if nukes were pulled from Turkey a while back.

would that mean that turky had
time to study the "jupiters",
even 6-months? would they posably given
the tec they would have found to anyone?
most of the stuff i have read latey, seems
to point at missle tec., rather nuke tec.,
"getting it to the target" rather then
do they have a nuke or not, i wonder
wear the the "middle east" is getting there
tec. even if people go to "schools" , you would
have to have a "working ", tec to copy, not
all of the tec. could have come from the USSR.

The Middle East are getting their missile technology from China. The saudi's spent $US3billion buying CSS-2 IRBM's from China. These missiles are pretty useless carrying HE warheads, therefore it is rumoured that they have or are trying to buy completed nuclear warheads for them.

so we have the new nuke race in the
"middle east", . pac, inda, and pos . iran ,now
the saudis , the UN has failed in the area of
non-par. how bad dose this leave the US, if
some one nukes all our troups there? how
many new groups have to get nukes before
the"3rd world war " , happens between some
other than the US and the former USSR.
