This guy has a nice setup, I made something similar but for the canister I have my survival supplies and equipment inside and it is charged with a small 25 watt panel.

Reminds me of a guy that entered his first demolition derby.
He reinforced the car and drive train, and it appeared real tough.
But he did not secure the battery so with the first impact he was out of the competition.
And where is the venting to let the hydrogen gas out during battery charging, I don't think that little hole where the solar wires go threw is enough.
Or is it really a hydrogen bomb if you just caulk the holes and seal the top?

That's kind of bulky to lug around IMO ! A booster PAC and a bigger solar charger is a bit more portable and more output .

I like mine better,

That and my 235 watt sony panel will power the flatscreen, stereo, and dvd player all night at the campsite!

How do you backpack all of that kit into your campsite?
Great for the homestead though!!

The portable power station looks pretty cool.

I have been working in the other direction: planning to forego electricity (except for crank mechanics), so I can delete that dimension of my planning.

people need to learn to do without electricity......

In a true survival or SHTF scenario, youre better off learning to do things without it.....

All those gadgets would just make you a target.........

Not only that, if you have to move around you put yourself at a disadvantage........

Learn to make candles, learn to start fires, learn alternative ways of using energy......
