Regarding street fighting mercenaries:
in the US langauage they will be called the 'enemy combatants' and either killed on the streets or sent to Guantanamo base and kept there for long time without any trials.
You know last time I checked a press pass isn't bullet proof. They know the risks when reporting from a war zone they must have accepted them.

In Libya Russia and China remained playing 'good boys' till the very end. Will they remain the 'idiots' this time around too? It would be a massive blow to their interests and national security if Syria and Iran see a regime change and come under the western control. R+C should use force to thwart any arms supplies to rebels in Syria or Iran. At the very least they should provide intelligence and spec ops support to intercept these supplies and undo the western attempts to create civil war.

Could this be a trap to lure Russia into south theater of Syria and then attack it from west, i.e. Germany and Poland. No wonder Russian Chief of General Staff has said that Russia will use nukes to ward off enemies as it does not plan to fight the whole of NATO.
The trump card is with China. It has $3.2T in reserves and even $100B can get some really mean weapons to throw west off balance regarding their calculations. Crucial factor is also time. ICBMs do not come out in a week or so, they can take several months to build.

Russia and China need to start moving heavy military hardware into syria to block the NATO terrorists.
...and then do what when NATO comes? Blast them to hell and hightwater? ......I doubt it.

Shortly afterwards Major-General Hugh Knerr, deputy commander of the US Air Force in Europe, wrote: “Occupation of German scientific and industrial establishments has revealed the fact that we have been alarmingly backward in many fields of research.
“If we do not take the opportunity to seize the apparatus and the brains that developed it and put the combination back to work promptly, we will remain several years behind while we attempt to cover a field already exploited.”
Thus began Project Paperclip, the US operation which saw von Braun and more than 700 others spirited out of Germany from under the noses of the US’s allies. Its aim was simple: “To exploit German scientists for American research and to deny these intellectual resources to the Soviet Union.”
Arthur Rudolph: “100% Nazi”
Events moved rapidly. President Truman authorised Paperclip in August 1945 and, on 18 November, the first Germans reached America.

Why do great nations fail ?
The ancient Greeks...
The Roman Empire...
The British Empire...
and the United States of American
They all make the same mistakes
turning their back of the principles
that made them great
America tried to spend and tac itself
out of a great recession
Enormous so-called "stimulus" spending
massive changes to health care
government takeovers of private industries
and crushing debt
of course, we owned most of their debt...
lol..
so now they work for us...
LOL

And possibly the money that Syria owes to Russia Ofcourse it is part of their naval base too in addition to their citizens. So you want the russians to arm the rebels or Syria?
Russia should not get involved with men at this time. Intelligence support, weapons and diplomatic help would be more efficient. There are more than 100K Russians in Syria so they have to be concerned regarding their citizens.
Sure..why not. They have the money and they want the oil from the region without hinderance Let them cough up the money.
China should provide the financial help in this matter regarding crucial tools that would help Assad keep the rebels in control. Ex: Few drones with cameras can help in surveillance, bullet proof body armor will keep the morale high among the government troops etc.
Easy to think but it will never happen in reality as they have their own concern with Chinese citizens in Russia crossing the border and the squabble along the russian chinese borders.
Russia and China should openly declare a 'mutual defense' treaty go give west a taste of what it feels like to be 'ganged up upon'. Their designs of regime changes will stop in track right away and bring them to right senses.

The difference is, you elect your leader. His power base is governed by its citizens.
Another big difference is that America has a 300million strong militia at hand if mercenaries started causing trouble.
I don't think anarchists or other agencies would consider starting a war within America with all the gun crazed nuts (citizens) ready to fight back. All Obama would need to do is rally everyone under the flag.
I'd be willing to test China's might. We have experience, China has little to none. We (British) once governed most of the free world. China doesn't even control its whole country. (Republic of China & People's Republic of China).
Putting a gun into a guy's hands doesn't make him a soldier.
The best Russia + China can muster is 2 to 3 thousand troops armed with RPG's and Ak 47's.No tanks, no planes, no nothing.
No tanks, no planes, no nothing.
NATO on the other hand...can deploy tens of thousans of troops, hundreds of tanks and fighter planes.
YES, Russia and China CAN, IF wants to starts WWW3, move enough troops and military hardware to both Syria and Iran. There is OFC a big BIG issue : WILL Syria and Iran ACCEPT their troops? Russia is KNOWN to send troops in "allied" countries and "forget" them there...

Russia and China are BOTH powerful...WHEN IN DEFENSE OF THEIR OWN COUNTRY. But both SUX at projecting MILITARY POWER.

You think moving military hardware AND troops is easy ?
Any country EXCEPT USA don't have the LOGISTICS and CAPABILITY to move ENOUGH troops and military hardware to withstand a comparable enemy.
Russia have the transport capability...but crap hardware (their best is SAFE and is for DEFENSE only).China DON'T even have enough ships, not to mention that they NEED to cross Suez or come around the Africa to enter Mediteranean waters.

No, Russia and China can't do shi.t, they know that they can't do shi.t, and they know that if they want to start a SHI.T...they will lose badly.

I'm not sure what your point is with the first video? It's just clips edited together so doesn't give any real perspective on amounts of soldiers and at the end you've got soldiers with the soles falling off their boots and soldiers with pins in their necks to keep their uniform straight Wtf? I don't remember any wars being won at any time in history by smartly marching soldiers with dodgy boots and pins in their necks. Maybe theirs a first time for everything...
