Ive served in the US Army Infantry for four years....in the first video you see common drill and ceremony...all soldiers look like robots during drill and ceremony...the grenade thing is just stupid and when he drops the grenade for the second time it blows up in a different spot than it landed..and why is the grenade smoking...which makes me think its a training simulator with no hard shell to fragment. 3rd video is all acting...it was like a dance routine but funny part is...they did all that without one gun or piece of equipment to weigh them down...4th video...im mixed on this one...its standard training but in much of the video they have no gun with them...even in the first road march.....we never marched without all our gear...always had our weapon...

China would be a handful but the US military has so much experience better training than any other military in the world..not to mention better tech as well. We spend about as much money on our military as the entire world put together does. Our citizens have more guns than their special forces did in the videos.

The surprising thing is how much industry is in the USA and EU - 42% of the global total.

The Chinese military is primarily structured for defensive operations but still could launch an offensive if they really wanted to. Someone here mentioned that and from what I gathered previously, I feel they are right. They have a good nuclear program so that takes care of those who attack from far. Their new missile system includes carrier busters and I'm sure they do exactly what they are capable of. Their exported products are built for "death dating" because capitalism desires it. The Chinese can make dependable high quality stuff. Although I don't think China will attack the USA without serious provocation, I wouldn't want to piss them off. Even a billion insecticide resistant ants acting as one can leave a path of destruction through our country. I have serious doubts if the people in this country today could stick together if WW3 broke out. That's a poor situation if you ask me.

How much did the US's defence budget inflate by due to the Middle East? $300 billion?

As per my original post, I didn't mean to judge China by their military strength purely based on the parade. It would be utterly foolish and ignorant not to consider the Chinese military strength and ability. They will be trained in offensive operations not just defensive, otherwise they wouldn't be an army they would be a defence force.

Chairman Hu Jintao has defined the missions of the PLA as:
Consolidate the ruling status of the Communist Party
Help ensure China's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and domestic security in order to continue national development
Safeguard China's expanding national interests
Help maintain world peace[7]

Note point 4 - To maintain world peace. They are trained for military conflict outside of Chinese territory.

Actually China can destroy the US very easily just by saying: ok give us our money back. Most of the money borrowed by the US was from China.

And about the army, we've seen the infantry but we have no idea what hardware they have, they might have anti matter bombs for what we know.

Yes you can have an estimate on the fuse, but an estimate is not something to be sure of and screw around with passing it around like little girls in a circle. Most grenades used are chemical based fuses such as our M67s. Chemical fuses have a delay time between 2 and 6 seconds. Would you trust those 4 seconds with it in your hand?

The only sure way to not have a grenade go off in your hand is if you are using an impact grenade.

Thanks for clearing that up, I am in the process of joining the British Army so I have some knowledge on the subject but not a great deal.

They might still be mad over the "Boxer Rebellion" where the white boyz (Russia-Europe-US) ganged on them and beat them up 100+ years ago....plus the Opium Wars which led to England taking Hong Kong and kicking their rears....several times.


China fears whats coming next when the white boyz are outa money again.

Which is why they've been digging and building so much underground.

China will be attacked within 12 months. They'll be slaughtered. Again.
