America is a great source of wealth for China. If China invaded the US, the US would become a liability.

China's military may be the largest in the world with respect to sheer numbers, but their technology is outdated and their navy is almost non existent in relation to the size of USA and Russia navy.

A war with China would be won by China solely on economic grounds, not military grounds.

China / USA war would end up with USA economy wiped out in under 48 hours. China, however, would undoubedtly take a financial hit that they can little afford at this time.

No doubt our boys are vastly experienced are doing a fantastic job, but that's another story

why in every war topic, people can simply claim EMP usage against the states and they lose everything.
well duh, that can be said for any country. why would the most militarily advance nation in the world not be well prepared for an EMP?

Sure, they have MILLIONS of troops...and its impossible to win a war where China is on defense.

What china CANNOT DO (at least for many years from now on) is to DEFEND MILITARILY anything else EXCEPT North Koreea.

China can send NOW 1,000-2,000 troops in, lets say Iran, or Syria...but that is pretty much the BEST they can do.US can send 50,000 troops along military hardware ANYWHERE in the world, in shortest time possible.
US have 400+ bases all around the world (logistics) AND alied countries that will ACCEPT any amount of US troops and military hardaware.

What else China don't have compared to US, UK or France ? They don't have WAR EXPERIENCED soldiers.

A hardened US or UK or Israeli army battallion will kick the shi.t out of a chinese army DIVISION.

Numbers means NOTHING in 21st century.

You hit the nail right smack dab on the head. The single most important part of war is Logistics, he who has the ability to move the largest number of troops, vehicles, fuel, food and ammo is the side that wins. USA cannot be matched with the ability to move massive amouts of troops and supplies in short notice, hit em hard and fast. Logistics won WWII and will win WWIII.

Sorry for being silly, but, isn't that the objective of every army in the world. To create a reaction to orders, that when someone shouts charge to charge. From what I see the Americans have got quite good at blindly following orders!

That is becoming a largely used cliche now. I dont think it holds the weight it used to. There are a lot of slugs in America. There are some that would embrace the change. Can you blame them. People lack courage now not being under fire, things are not what they used to be.

First thing after meeting resistance the Chinese would break out the kettle and feed the masses. Set up factories and put people to work.

Unfortunately you are probably right. There are so many Americans who are lazy, fat and have this entitlement mentality - like everyone owes them something simply because they exist. They range from school kids to people well into their 30's (or older) and are still mooching off of their parents. They believe they are ninjas or warriors because of their high body count on their Playstations, yet they would welcome their socialist/communist invaders with open arms, foolishly believing that their form of goverment just supports you by supplying you with all of your needs. When they realize that they will be put to work in the factories as slave labor, it will be too late to join the resistance because the resistance will be either dead or in prison.

So we're supposed to be impressed by a video that shows a bunch of Chinese soldiers marching? ooOooo they look real tough... Any military can grab 2-4 thousand soldiers and say " hey lets march and look badass so the rest of the world thinks we have a kickass military"

edit: hahha i just watched the vid of those dumbasses tossing around live grenades, what does that teach specifically? that if you don't know how long it takes for a nade to blow you can blow up? most pointless drill ever, lol @ the chinese. yea big bad chinese, they can play hot potato with nades, yea dont mess with them...

But why train all those soldiers to be exactly in line and strictly in order? You can't fight like that, or line up like that in war, so...?

It shows their training and the time spent on just marching like that. Imagine the training they have to go through...I highly doubt all their time is spent just learning how to march. Why does the American army do similar exercises? Just to stand in line during battle?

i don't like chinese food anymore i like thai food its tastier. if the chinese troops ate thai food they would not march like robots in that video. it is from eating rice not rice noodles like in thailand.

the live grenade drill is designed to develop self-discipline in the face of danger and it has a very practical lesson as well, the soldiers get used to the time it takes for the grenade to explode which can save your life.
