Some nations spend their money on planes... Some on ships... Some on troops to march in neat rows. Israel has had to spend on all of the above and
then some, since it's threats come in all forms and literally, from all compass directions. That means Israel is damned good at many things but money
has limits and a nation can't master everything.
Iran has a tugboat Navy.....an Army that Iraq nearly beat down and traded blows in a virtual stand off for years...and considers the F-14 Tomcat to be
a serviceable combat aircraft.
Iran might look totally inept.....but for the fact they weren't trying to build up those areas. No.. It seems Iran has been a bit more focused than
most in where they've put their national defense dollars. They've become the world's foremost experts in Missiles and Warheads below the level of
the primary global military powers like the U.S. and Russia. They have some of the best Russia has produced to start on and a domestic arms industry
that matches, again, pretty much anything in the world outside of the MAJOR powers. So.. When it comes to Missiles? Well, that's all this fight
matters for, given the distances involved.
Israel has a lot to be worried about for that. If Iran decided to start or respond to a war by just vomiting volleys of missiles like they were
free....there is no defense system in existence that can handle that sheer volume at once. I think we'll see ONE....maybe two sorties of aircraft
between Israel and Iran and that'll leave too few for Israel to risk any further. Then it's up to the rocket scientists and who has the better ones,
IMO.
