Do believe that our experiences are similar in some way? Do you have an idea what it might mean?

Nothing more than it felt oppressive and I wouldn't say devoid of life but devoid of "living". I had the desire to leave as soon as I started to make out the details of the architecture which was eerily impressive and emanated a dark yet natural energy - looked like mayan or aztec but futuristic if that makes sense and made of something like basalt or a dark stone. I am usually floating above these landscapes so I rarely see the actual denizens of these realms which would probably offer more clues. In the zazen tradition any scenes like this (negative) are considered illusions(makyo) standing in the way of the light, the One way.

I appreciate your insight. I hope we can continue to find out more regarding this.

More times than I care to recall. I've had some night terrors, sleep paralysis and visions in this state. I've also seen spirits during this time. It's scary. You never know if you're awake or sleeping or if what you are seeing is real or not.

I can most definitely agree that the mind can be a very powerful thing but I haven't read any stories where someone has enough power to conjure a complete packaged experience with their own minds. Seeing the universe/multiverse as a living, sentient entity & it's ability to bow to the whim of a child is quite daunting in itself. Combining these two thoughts in to one is just as crazy to me as not experiencing the paranormal every day, no matter at what level. It can neither be proven or unproven & thus I'm more likely to take someone's experience wholeheartedly unless they give me every reason not to believe it is true. As for sled, she has my complete faith that her experiences are genuine & true. As for your own beliefs in this, you could say that you're just beating the odds for being completely sterile of these events whether they are local or universal in nature.

I had a ghost follow me around from age six until my late teens, channeled spirits, seen UFOs (close), had an object materialize from thin air in front of my face, and had a monster of some kind over 8 ft. tall walk past my bathroom window during my lifetime. I am now 54 years old. Until now I had no way of communicating with others about all these strange occurrences, but thanks to ATS, I can now ask the question, "Are there others who experience more than one type of paranormal phenomena, or am I just a paranormal magnet?"

I think if you look for things you will find them. That's how the universe is designed. Seek and you shall find. So you've been constantly looking, and constantly things have shown up. Doesn't mean there real for everyone. Just for you cuz that's what you were asking the universe to provide you with.

Nope.... I wasn't seeking ANY of these things that happened to me, especially at age six. And I certainly wasn't seeking a monster that scared the living daylights out of me running past my window at night on a regular basis!
And I wasn't seeking to be pulled out of the bed by unseen hands that I felt around my ankles, or hearing the blood chilling scream of some creature in the woods across from my house for months, or having objects disappear, and reappear months later from thin air, or any of the many other experiences I've had over the years; They just happened!
If I had found what I was looking for, it would have been some peace and absence of all these odd things that happened in my life! That is what I sought........ but never found.

You have a thread about spider webs on your face when you wake up. Maybe you can shed some light on CrimsonKnight13's question about the spiders he sees? Sounds similar to your experience.

I appreciate that nice comment, and your confidence in me. I guarantee everyone all my experiences I have told, or will tell in the future are all 100% true. I have no reason to make these things up. Just looking for others who have experienced similar things. And, wow...... I have received a lot of responses from people so far!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread!

Being honest goes a long way when you're trying to find people with similar experiences.

This is one thing I can say I haven't experienced. I would be running through the house showing my new-found ability of being a karate master if that happened to me! I loath spiders! If I even see a spider 10 feet away from me, I feel things crawling on me the rest of the night! I can't stand to even talk about spiders! (oooooooh! Shiver!)

This must be a very frightening experience for you. I have no idea what it means, sorry. I hope this stops happening to you, but I'm sure it has meaning of some kind. Hopefully, you will find out and it will stop.

(I sent you a U2U which I see you still haven't opened)

It's definitely a major shock to wake up & see one that's moving on my bed, wall or hanging in front of me. What sucks is that they fade from view & I feel spooked for a bit before going back to sleep. Since it only happens every once in a while, I'm unsure why & how it occurs outside it being a possibly lucid dream or a vision of astral beings that are appearing mostly as arachnids. The odd ones are a frog & large honeybees (not bumblebees). I can definitely accept that some of the naysayers speak truth about how the mind works but I'd say I'm a fairly stable minded individual outside the instances of experiencing really freakish paranormal events.

(I don't see any new U2Us in my message inbox. I'm not sure why...)

Did you have anything happen to you when you were 6? Could you be hallucinating these sightings and just never got help? The only last possibility would be you projecting these things and your not aware.
