I am fascinated with your stories. I hate to hear that you gave up all of your spiritual learning after that incident, but I can understand how it would make you want to.

You can still do positive thought meditation without having to do what your mom did, right?

Thanks for the responses Sled and ctophil. Whether I have a blockage or fear of something, that could very well be true. It's not always the same in every dream but I have had more than one dream where I had trouble flying up as high as the skyscrapers staying stuck down near the ground where the trees are at. I thought that is weird.

I guess for most people dreaming you have superpowers without doing other lucid dreaming is really weird by itself.

I didn't get any of the euphoric feelings others seemed to experience; just a strong sense of sadness coupled with divine peace. Kind of like when your world crashes around you, but you know you will be okay and life will go on.
I have had quite a bit of buzzing, clicking and strange frequencies in my ears the past month. I have had tinnitus before, and these sounds are nothing like that. It's almost like hearing machinery humming, and computer-like sounds.
Quite often I hear what sounds like a very distant radio playing. I can't quite make out what the emcee is saying, or the song that is playing. (We don't have a radio, as reception is too poor in our area.)
I hesitate to share thoughts like this on any other thread because of the instant 'attack the messenger' syndrome. This seems to be the only thread where people can share their innermost strangeness without fear of being made to feel as if they're a nut case. Don't know why they leave this thread alone, but I'm sure glad they do!
Somebody posted "Live each day as if it's your last, for one day it will be." That has been my philosophy since I was 18,and whenever I lose sight of that fact, something always happens to bring me to my knees again.
Every day is precious; every day I have SO many things to be thankful for! I may not have everything I want, but I have everything I need, and then some! I know my husband and children love me fiercely, with all their heart; how could I possibly want for more?
I only mention these things so you will know I'm not some Negative Nancy.
I have an ever-growing sense of world-changing events coming soon, on a much larger scale than Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Katrina, even 9/11. We on earth have danced to the music, now it's time to pay the fiddler.
Multiple tragedies are in our near future, and many people will be returning 'home' as Mother Earth tries to save herself from the ravages of mankind. I see this as an opportunity for mankind to unite and evolve spiritually; to realize that there is real power in the use of positive energy.
Many more people will realize that religious and political division is harming humanity as a whole, and misuse of knowledge is harming the planet. Corporate greed has to, and will, stop.
The ball has already started to roll downhill, and no amount of effort can change the course of what has begun.
I don't mean any of this as 'Doom Porn'.....it is what it is. A better world is on the horizon, and people are about to get a 'jump start' in waking up.
Many will see 2014 as one of the worst years in history, but it actually will be one of the best things that has ever happened. Each and every one of us will go through a purging of our souls, and mankind will take a giant leap forward in terms of spiritual evolution.
Yes, I feel the 'shift'; I also know that it will require some sacrifice.
Have enough food, water and clothing to sustain your family for two weeks time. In the event of an earthquake, EMF, major arterial collapse, etc. the stores will be empty in a matter of hours.
Many positive changes are coming our way, but we will feel the 'growing' pains.
Stay strong.
Love yourself, and those in your life.
Enjoy everything - the blessings you have, and the trials that make you stronger.
Keep your thoughts as positive as you can; this is vital for the healing process! No matter how bad something is, there is ALWAYS something positive that can be focused on!
A 'jump' in evolution has already begun, and the world will be a better place for the children being born at this time.
Please note that I am not predicting anything; I am just sharing what my 'inner knowing' has been telling me. Normally, I would not share these thoughts with ANYONE, but I can't seem to shake the feeling that I need to make an exception. I have been having vivid dreams urging me to do so for the last few weeks - to the point I have given serious thought to my own sanity.

You say you've had tinnitus before, and it stopped?
To my understanding, and what the doctors have told me, once you get this, there's no cure; you'll continue to hear the ringing for the rest of your life.

Maybe that was the frequencies you were hearing long ago, if they stopped. Just a thought.

I don't know either, but I have a feeling it is because I've had help from my friends on the other side.
I feel almost like this thread has been a "calling" for me... where people can come and talk about their experiences without ridicule. Lord knows people like us need others that understand to talk to. Anyone else just looks at you like you're crazy, then avoids you like you have AIDS, or something.
It will be here from this point on, anytime someone needs to talk to someone of like-mind.

Have you heard anything about the four blood moons? The next one will be on April 15th. These are important dates, and every time one comes around something MAJOR happens. I have a feeling this will be the beginning of the Earth's cleansing.

Agreed. It depends where one's spiritual level is when this happens. I truly believe the "good people" will be protected, be led to safe places. If not, then their spirit ascends to the New Earth. Either way, things are better for them/us.

Two weeks? I thought I read where people should have enough supplies on hand to last 2-3 months. That could apply in some areas, I suppose; depends on where you live.

Mindless thank you for your positive input. I knew even back then that everything happens for a reason. I just knew that my bottom line was that I could not be a part in someones death for any reason. By taking myself out of the equation this was the only way I knew it would not happen again. I wanted to stick with it but I thought if there's even a chance this could happen again removing myself was a small price to pay.

- It's ok though turns out that was not only the beginning it was a test as well. I passed.

- One thing you mentioned about hearing a radio station Ive been having the same issue.

- I live in the mountains with some radio reception but its very limited. For the last few months I have been hearing a radio station as I'm trying to fall asleep. I sleep on the sofa and have several speakers around me. For the last month I have started hearing what may likely be the same station while I'm sitting quietly doing something. The station is to low in volume to hear clearly. There is music and commercials but I don't think ive heard a dj or emcee yet. This doesn't happen all the time but most of it. I cannot "consciously " here it though. Everytime I notice it and pay attention it goes away. Ive unplugged both the radio and the speakers and no change. Plus when it happens it always comes from the direction of the speaker that is farthest from me.

- I'm aware of several things this could be other than me being completly certifiable (haha) however I haven't been able to figure it out yet. This is not coming from inside my head but directional from about twelve feet away. I'm not positive its from the speaker but if not its right next to it. I can turn my head and the (broadcast?) Stays in the same place.

Beings from other dimensions using the radio equipment to come through.

The veil continues to thin. Some will notice it, others won't. Some will choose to ignore it because it goes beyond their current belief system, too much of a shock for their brain to accept... so they ignore it, and forget it.

I've had a few 'interesting' events take place in my time. One of the most intense was in a place my family calls 'the pit' (and for good reason). I was awake, it was late. Anyone can say that I was simply hallucinating, but considering that I have always been a bit of a night owl, this was not uncommon for me to be up that late. I was sitting at my desk, not sure exactly what I was doing, reading most likely. My room was set up kind-of oddly. In my opinion, the door to my room used to be the door to the garage, and my 'room' was added to the house out of garage 'space.' So, the door that lead to my closet, used to lead to the backyard. Sounds odd, but they made it work. I was alone, it was about 2-3 AM, and I was kind-of tired. I suppose now I can look back and say that I was 'open,' at that moment. Sitting there, not a foot from my closet door, I heard a distinct knock, from inside my closet! Something knocked three times on my closet door, from the inside. It wasn't terribly fast, or aggressive, it was actually somewhat... this is going to sound odd, but now that I think back, it was almost professional. You know, how certain professional people will knock, when they want to sell you something.

I froze. Right there at my desk, my heart stopped, and I got this knot in my gut... I knew what I heard was all but impossible, by normal means. I didn't answer it. I couldn't. I was beyond scared. I waited, I don't know how long. Before I literally pretended that it didn't happen, and went back to my reading. Had a hard time sleeping that night. The next morning, with the courage of morning light to back me, I opened the closet. There was nothing there. Walls, roof, shelves, stuff. But nothing animate, or out-of-the-ordinary. I think that I wasn't supposed to answer the door. I don't know what would have happened to me, or my family, if I had. Sometimes, it isn't opportunity, that's knocking.

I was given Singulair for asthma symptoms, which has a rare effect of causing tinnitus and earaches. I had only once in my entire life had an earache; I got 'swimmers ear'. I couldn't convince the doctor it was causing problems, as she had never heard of such a reaction. I brought in a drug fact sheet to show her.
I seem to be extremely drug sensitive, so now I try to stick to natural cures whenever possible. Hives suck! And 9 out of 10 drugs cause hives for me.
I agree 2/3 months worth of food would be best, but in a lot of disasters it usually takes 2 weeks is the minimum before relief agencies begin to get food and water into the area. Natural disasters can happen anytime, any where, and it isn't being paranoid to be prepared.
My kids laugh at me, as if I've gotten a bit crazier in my old age, and maybe I have - but at least I'm ready to live 'off the grid' should it become necessary!
I have watched the moon phases most of my life, ever since I was told of the effect it has on people. Anyone in law enforcement or healthcare will tell you how much more hectic those days are! It can have a very negative effect mentally, and most violent crimes coincide with that phase of the moon. Through my years of working, I noticed that most everybody would get a little ( or lot!) snippy during a full moon, so I would try not to take it personally.
Purplemur has a new thread titled "Two Super Moons This Month". (I don't know how to link yet. )
One super moon is today, and the other on the 30th of January. It will be interesting to see if it affects peoples' behavior in adverse ways!
As a final note: When I began taking notice of when the full moon was, I was able to realize that any angst I was feeling was from an 'external' source, so I would block it. Now, full moons no bother me - I actually feel like I'm extra-energized, and able to stay in a pretty darn good mood!

I hear you! My 'radio' started playing when I was just about to fall asleep, and it was coming from the living room. Within a couple of months, I began to hear it during the day, coming from the bedroom! If I walk around trying to locate the origin, it quits.
I also began smelling different floral scents around this time.
I agree with Sled that a veil is lifting, or something along those lines is happening.
I don't think there is such a thing as 'mild' schizophrenia, is there? Besides, the radio isn't in my head, either!

How old were you when this happened? Seems younger people have more paranormal events because their mind hasn't been brainwashed by adults yet.

That could be very scary for a child! I'm glad you didn't acknowledge it too, because that's the time of night that the "evil ones" come out to play.
Had it been a family member that had died, I think they would have tried to contact you at some other time when it wouldn't scare the beegeebees out of you.

Yeah, I experience the affect of the moon cycles where I work too. But, as you are about to see, this isn't "that kind" of moon. This only happens every several hundred years, or so.

I was about 14 or 15 at the time, so I think you might be spot on with that thought. It seems most people think that the 'witching hour' is at midnight, but I have read before that it is actually between 2 and 3 AM... and when you said that the memory clicked back, and the hairs on my neck stood up. Yes Sled something using the radio equipment sure wouldn't be anything new. Lol. I agree and that was among one of my first thoughts. Especially since my moms ashes are about twenty feet beyond the speaker on the same wall. Thats not saying it is her. I guess my first question would be what or who is it? (Just thinking outloud) my second question would be why now, whats up? In all the worlds combined I still believe everything happens for a reason. I guess I'm just one of those thats always asking why!

As I said previously, the veil is thinning. People who have open minds, or open third eye, are more aware of things on the other side now more than ever before.
Maybe it IS your mom, and only now are you able to hear her communication. Or... it could be someone else.

If things get more active, you could call in a medium to see who it is, and what their message is.

I watched the videos, and found the info on the blood moons pretty interesting, especially the fact that they all fall on Jewish holidays in 2014 and 2015!
The ancient civilizations seemed to know there was power in seen and unseen forces, especially revering the sun, moon, stars and four elements. Now days we look at it all as myth and folk lore, but some research would suggest otherwise.
I believe there is synchronicity in numbers and patterns, tho I'm not sure what it is. I do pay attention when I stop at the store and spend $17.23, then gas my car and can only get $17.23 to go in the tank.I search for logical answers to strange events, and if I don't find any, I tend to just put it out of my mind.
Maybe my 'extra alertness' has been protective for me....I'll have to check that theory out next time it happens.
It's a 60 mile round trip to town for shopping, and sometimes it just seems everybody on the highway is determined to force me to crash.Will be interesting to note if those are my 'matching numbers' days.

Hey guys, I am a newbie here on ATS. I have been skimming through the forum for a couple a years but never really post, I just like to read peoples stories. But strange enough, as long as I have been browsing this forum this is the first time I have stumbled across this thread. Very interesting indeed and it gives me great pleasure to know I am not the only one who has encountered strange things in my life.

I would like to share some of my encounters...

When I was 13 or so I was lying in bed awake at around 3am after getting off of the Xbox. I was lying down facing the wall, I then readjusted myself and was then facing my bedroom door, seconds after turning my body I see my bedroom door fly open, paused for a few seconds, and then flew back shut. My parents house was quite old, so basically the whole house rattled and woke up both my parents and my two sisters. My dad come onto the hallway upstairs and said to me "what the hell was that", I explained what happened and thankfully he believed me and didn't think I was crazy as there have been a lot of unexplained happenings in that house! I then slept in my sisters room as I was really shaken up. I also must add that the door was a really heavy hard wood door and wasn't correctly aligned on the hinges, therefore you used to have to lift the door slightly to shut it properly, and it took some effort, and whatever the thing was that flew my door open with that much energy and managed to shut it again afterwards really creeps me out, because it was some incredible force. Myself or my parents are not religious as such, but my parents believe there was something going on in that house that even they could not explain, hence the fact my dad didn't disregard the claims I was making. When the door opened in front of my eyes it was such a strange sensation that I don't know how to describe... shock being one of them, but I am sure that I saw some sort of black trail or mist on the floor when the door flew open, but really cant remember it clearly. There have been other strange things in the house such as my TV turning on and off, my radio on when I wake up in the morning, creeks on the hallway like someone is walking across them, and many more. I'll be honest, when living with something strange like that with unexplained things happening from time to time, I did get accustomed to it and it really did not bother me as I always thought if it was going to hurt me, it would have done so already and most of the time my mind would defence it as only a coincidence, although deep down I knew it was something strange. But when my door flew open with that much force, it could not be ignored of shrugged off! I wish I knew what pissed it off that day.

Another account was when I was around 11 or so, I was with my mum on the way to our local town to pick my sister up, as she was having a night out. Anyway it was around 11.30am and we were driving along the road and all of a sudden we saw this magnificent white ball of light around 100 meters appear above us, hovering above the car for a few moments and then shot off into the distance at speeds unimaginable, we were both startled and couldn't really believe what we had seen. The light was so bright we could not see a shape but it was quite large in diameter (about the size of 2 cars side by side), it was like looking at magnesium burning the light was that bright. Definitely felt like it was something out of the world.

Again another time was on new years day 2007 at around 3.00am, me and some friends were in my car sitting down at the local football field, it was a very cloudy night, not a star in sight. Then one of my friends pointed said "look over there, that stars moving!". That is when we realised it was totally overcast. We watched as this "star" moved slowly over a hill into the far distance (I live in Wales, UK) then all we see is an enormous bright light emanate from it onto the hill below it, it is like when you see the laser beam come down from a UFO like you see in the movies. It flashed this beam 2 times within 1 second. It then whizzed around the sky for another 10 seconds doing zigzags and other movements and then it completely disappeared.

I have had a sighting of some strange orange orbs above my local village at summer last year. There were 3 situated around the village at around three times the height of a street light and were bright orange and totally stationary, they were there for about an hour or so. I did not get to see them when the disappeared. They were definitely no Chinese lanterns as at one point I was directly beneath one. Strangely enough I remember speaking to one of my friends a few months later and we got onto the subject of UFO's and he claimed to have seen some orbs flying around in a field roughly around the same time I saw these lights above the village. I don't really know what they were but they were strange.

Well thanks for reading, quite nice to tell people about these stories as no one I know really cares about the paranormal and most of all I get ridiculed for sharing my experiences. After some of the encounters I have had, and all the research I have done to try and get some answers has left me with a whole lot more questions, and a lot more confused. I now try to meditate and achieve OBE's and feel that I have come very close, I have gotten to the point where I feel extreme vibrations in my body but I feel like I'm about to die so I snap myself out of it. But I have been told that by getting these intense vibrations that I am close to achieving an OBE. The subject fascinates me and I love the thought that our body's and souls are capable of so much more than we perceive on a "normal day to day" basis.

3 a.m. is the hour the demons come out to play. It is the opposite time of when Jesus is said to have died on the cross, therefore this time has reference to that time. Opposite times.
Older houses always seem to have trapped souls, earthbound souls, or demons for some reason. I don't like them, and I hope I never have to live in one. With me being a sensitive, I would be freaking out all the time. LOL

I had one do that when I was young, but not with any force like you describe. I would have been paralyzed with fear if I had experienced what you did!!
You probably saw an evil spirit, or a demon. The darker the mist, the more evil the spirit is.

The light was so bright we could not see a shape but it was quite large in diameter (about the size of 2 cars side by side), it was like looking at magnesium burning the light was that bright. Definitely felt like it was something out of the world.

There are all kinds of forms of energy beings out there. At least this one was good, if we go by the fact it was white. I don't know what they are... maybe an angel?

Again another time was on new years day 2007 at around 3.00am, me and some friends were in my car sitting down at the local football field, it was a very cloudy night, not a star in sight. Then one of my friends pointed said "look over there, that stars moving!". That is when we realised it was totally overcast. We watched as this "star" moved slowly over a hill into the far distance (I live in Wales, UK) then all we see is an enormous bright light emanate from it onto the hill below it, it is like when you see the laser beam come down from a UFO like you see in the movies. It flashed this beam 2 times within 1 second. It then whizzed around the sky for another 10 seconds doing zigzags and other movements and then it completely disappeared.

You saw a typical UFO. Whether it was government operated, or ET, is the question. But, from your description, I would say E.T.

I have had a sighting of some strange orange orbs above my local village at summer last year. There were 3 situated around the village at around three times the height of a street light and were bright orange and totally stationary, they were there for about an hour or so. I did not get to see them when the disappeared. They were definitely no Chinese lanterns as at one point I was directly beneath one. Strangely enough I remember speaking to one of my friends a few months later and we got onto the subject of UFO's and he claimed to have seen some orbs flying around in a field roughly around the same time I saw these lights above the village. I don't really know what they were but they were strange.

I have several posts by people in this thread seeing the orange lights. I don't know for sure, but I don't think they have good intentions. Most people had negative experiences with them.
A friend of mine, and other witnesses just saw some orange lights a few weeks ago moving slowly across the tree tops, then go down into the woods. He was freaked out! LOL
