I think it's attention seeking to be honest,

most the time you'll find those who are actually genuinely conscience of their image, try to divert attention from themselves.

Posting vids/pics and asking if you're ugly is just attention seeking, most the time you'll find the prettiest girls/guys do it. And sure some might not be very confident, but they know they're not on the ugly side, they just want to be reassured.

However, if you or I actually did BELIEVE that we are ugly, I think we'd be too ashamed to even post pics/vids of ourselves.

It is her hairline that is off. Throw a wig on her and you would see no difference from the next gal. EXCEPT that she would be much prettier. I say long bangs and a shorter doo until she is old enough to decide on her next step if any. I read the Youtube comments and one person stated it wasn't hair loss. I am not so certain. Is this a fact? And if so, was a second specialist conferred with? There is such a thing as congenital alopecia areata. Her hair looks a we bit too thin elsewhere also. How long has she been like this? This would determine if she would respond to topical steroids etc... If lifelong, then likely it wouldn't.

I knew a girl in school, and she was fugly. Big nose, wonky teeth, acne acne acne acne acne, bad hair...
When she grew up, she lost her braces, grew into her nose, got treatment for her bad skin and learned how to make her hair look good. She became quite pretty, and because of the attention she began to receive, she became conceited, rude, nasty and a tramp (as in slutty, not a hobo).

I think this helps the argument that no matter your roots, or your looks, inside is what counts, and in this particular individual, even though she was an ugly little rat as she grew up, she was still ugly inside once she had bloomed.

Lets not forget that in the early to mid 1900's, it was practically UNSIGHTLY to be skinny. There are vintage weight gain ads from this time which are promoting GAINING weight! BE CURVY AND BE POPULAR! Why has this thought process changed?!







And it's not just women, sadly. More and more men suffer with poor body image, because they're not the Calvin Klein models, because they're not Orlando Bloom or Ryan Gosling. More and more young men are suffering with eating disorders!
Personal image is rated so highly.

My avatar is a picture of me about 3 years ago. Since then, I've developed a medical problem, and gained about 50lbs. Would I dare publicize my picture on an open forum now? No way! People would take the P*ss most likely.
I'm not happy with how I look now, but I wouldn't change myself because I still consider myself to be a well rounded individual anyway.
And if anything, the people that call me fat, are just incapable of finding anything else wrong with me.

Unfortunately lulz, we become more and more backwards. I'm sick of seeing those half dead zombies in advertisements.

Those girls that it affects, it's terrible, I mean even with the excessive dieting most go through to get that figure, you can see they are unhappy.

This society is a monster.

Haha yes, I agree completely. I have some close friends whom I gym with regularly who are probably a little overweight, but not as much as I am, and they are constantly starving themselves, they eat nothing but dry toast and drink coffee, and then go on to the gym to do stressful combat classes. And wonder why they aren't losing weight!

It makes me angry when people eat less to lose weight. Don't stop eating, it's the worst thing you can do.

I can only imagine how annoying it must be to go out to dinner with a skinny girl who wants nothing but a salad of some description, only to see her watching you forlornly as you tuck into a nice lasagne Balls to that.

Tell your friends to eat cinnamon toast with their coffee instead of plain toast. The cinnamon is a metabolite which, with sugar, helps burn carbs..........Don't eat 6 of them though.......moderation.

Kids are cruel. She shouldn't worry about these things when she's still growing though, and hell, even if she is a little quirky looking when she's an adult perhaps she won't feel so cramped by the mindless constraint's of the beauty industry. Doesn't matter anyways, it all goes down hill eventually. Having just seen a recent pic of myself, it appears one is suffering from an unfortunate case of turkey wattle emergence.

I've seen some of the homeliest girls turn beautiful and some of the prettiest girls turn plain looking in my life. I never believed in calling someone ugly or fat because I did not know what I would be like someday. It is also important that sometimes criticism hardens people to make them stronger and more capable of living and prospering in society. My recommendation to the girl is to be the best person she can be.

The people who cut down others because of their looks are insecure and need to grow up. The people who cut down others because of the wealth they earned honestly are misguided. The people that cut down people for their intellect are not wise. The people who cut down others for their deceitful practices are mostly justified if they have all the facts.

I am sure that I don't have to tell you how wrong you are. Does it make you feel good to talk about how ugly these women are? Isn't that what this whole topic is about? People with such low self-esteem that they need confirmation of their beauty. It is people like you that make women feel like they are worth nothing. These women may not be beautiful in YOUR eyes, but maybe they are doing something with their lives that make this world a more beautiful place. Can you say that you make this world better? What do you contribute that makes this world a more beautiful place to live in? I can assure you one thing. Your degrading comments about other human beings is doing nothing but bringing more hate to this world. I really want you to think about that. Really dig down deep and think about what is making your life incomplete. I don't care if you asked for it. The only way to stop this is to not feed in to it. Ignore it, and girls will have no reason to post these videos anymore period.

Be careful what you ask for. Personally, I rarely use such strong language as ugly or hate etc. When someone asks me for an opinion, I will give an honest opinion. People know that about me though, or find out pretty quick.

When you ask an opinion from the internet like that, you are asking to get pummeled. Lots of people out there feel really bad about themselves, and spend most their time online. The only pleasure in life they get, is hurting feelings, and pissing people off on the internets.

It's sad though, she is just a young one, and I don't think she is one of those attention whores from my observations of the video. If she is, she is a damn good actress, because she gets choked up, and seems on the verge of tears. I feel really bad, that she feels the only place she can turn to, is the internet. This is the age we live in I guess, where people would rather text or IM, than have a conversation face to face.

The internet is a cesspool really, where the idiots and the jerks are the loudest and in the largest numbers. This is the place that got a little kid to kill himself because he lost some toy, maybe a PSP?

If she had asked me, I would say "No, you are not ugly, but you could do *whatever* to improve in my opinion." I would rather help someone than tear them down. Making people feel good, makes me feel good. Unfortunately, my type seems to be a small minority these days.

I am quite certain that she knows her single flaw already. And is not pleased with the ugly comments from other children. Any respectable person with true concern for the child would want to make sure her probem isn't medical. And to minimize the affect of the hairline. The gal is suffering and needs advice. You need to grow up and show empathy for your fellow humans.
