Religion vs. Religion=Epic fail

We are all human. We are all equal.
We all have feelings and we all have hearts.
We don't, however see eye to eye.
We may do things differently but,
Is that really a reason to kill each other?
What is in us that turns a deaf ear to the cries of human suffering?
Peace and system of a down

Its wrong for any counrty or religion to dictate what god or lack of god a person believes in then punish him or her for not following.

In saying that I do wonder how many non believers of christianity or homosexuals would be killed by our churches if they where still in full power.

religion in the west did not grow up it lost its strangle hold on the population and had to change to survive. Don't forget the last burning by the Catholic Church in Latin America was of Mariana de Castro, in Lima in 1732 (wiki source I know)

It is my firm belief that if the Catholics or the Christians in there many forms where in full control of the UK or USA they would still kill people for leaving the religion, for witch craft and so on.

Islam will one day have to adapt or die not due to war but due to its followers changing style in life and attitudes just like what has happened to Christianity. As Charlie Chaplin said in the great dictator "the misery that is apon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress"

If you haven't seen this before watch it, its message is just as relevent today as it was then.

Islam may in a hundred years or so finally change, again I qoute Charlie Chaplin "The hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took for the people will return to the people and so long as men die liberty will never perish"

I would like to see in my lifetime that all religions will finally realise the most precious thing is human life not what god a person was indoctornated into from birth. Lets face it most religious followers where born into the religion they are now part of. Thay have no choice but to beleive. It might not happen in my lifetime but I think it will happen.

I don't think they will kill him. He is a Christian suicide bomber and his bomb is his popularity.

You do understand that the Theocracy in Iran is a Dictatorship and the President is a figurehead correct?

The citizens are prisoners to that Theocracy.

It's not the people of Iran doing this.

Yet, Muhammad made it clear that the penalty for leaving Islam was death.

Sunni (who make up 90% of all Muslims) Hadiths stipulating the death penalty are:-

Some Shia (who make up perhaps 10% of all Muslims) Hadith stipulate the death penalty.

In one particular hadtih, Muahammad ordered people burnt to death for not worshiping.

Bukhari (11:626) -

"The Prophet said, "No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the 'Isha' prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to crawl." The Prophet added, "Certainly I decided to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) to pronounce Iqama and order a man to lead the prayer and then take a fire flame to burn all those who had not left their houses so far for the prayer along with their houses."

Muhammad orders his men to burn alive those who do not present themselves at the mosque for prayer.

By the way, that Bukari is a religious Hadith text which is sacred to Sunni Muslims who make up 80 to 90% of all Muslims globally.

Remember, Muhammad led an 'perfect' life.

Good Muslims should seek to emulate his acts and lead a perfect Muslim life if they do so.

I hate this more than anything. I also hate it because I hate what my brain is saying about this. My heart and soul say we should do anythign and everything we can to extradt this pastor from Iran and free him. He doesnt deserve to die at all. But then my head jumps in. My head still says he should never have to die for this. But Iran is a soverieng country. They arent just shooting him sight on seen. He went through their judicial system. And it failed him. But have other countries tried to invade us for some of our boneheaded decisions? Should Britain have invaded us because we let OJ go ( as an example people, Im not arguing about ojs guilt or innoncence) OR because we let that nutcase casey anthony free ( again, example). I mean if you ask the majority of people we allowed murderers to go free.

Does my qualm about what my head thinks here make sense? I am in no way defending Iran or their judicial proceedings. I think it was a farce from day one. But wheres the line?

Well, if the reaction to a Koran being threatend to be burnt is any guide, we would have riots across the Muslim world.

If Islam is a religion of peace, why are they killing a man for leaving Islam?

Yes, REALLY. SECDEF Rummy wore glasses, too, but that doesn't mean the entire military did. Rummy's personal problems are personal problems. The US military is not a "Christian Army".

there are also Hindus, Muslims, Wiccans, even Satanists in it as well but the one who lead them ?

Rummy's religious orientation doesn't define the US military any more than yours does. It's HIS personal proclivity, not military policy.

faulty foundation you said... i don't think so...

Aye. Faulty foundation.

Would it be Islamaphobic to point out that the Supreme Islamic leader of Iran (1979-1989) stated that all Muslim males have a religious duty to conquer non-Islamic nations in the name of Islam?

“Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled and incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of [other] countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world.

But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world….

if Iran does't want Christianity, who are you to enforce it on them?

Where did I say that I'm enforcing Christianity upon them? No where.
Their own laws say that someone can be Christian if they were born that way.
This person didn't break the law.
The law says that an adult muslim can not convert to Christianity.
He did not convert as an adult, but as a youth.
Therefore, he didn't break their law. But they are killing him off anyways.

Why can't you get that? It's not your place to say what another country chooses to do

I already said they can do with their country what they want. But since you bring it up .. I guess the entire world should ignore when these things come up. (unless it comes up in the USA, then it can be a free for all against the USA, right?). We should all ignore these things and not discuss them and not expose them ... afterall ... (example) it was none of our business about Apartheid in South Africa too. Guess the world screwed up by talking about what was happening and banding together and boycotting South Africa until it changed it's policies ... Guess they should go back to apartheid .. afterall .. it was non one's business how they ran their country and we had no business boycotting or even talking about it. Right?
It does suck big time, no one disputes that... but if you walk into a building burning in a parafin suit chances are something bad is going to happen right?

As a Christian, he went to live and preach as a Christain in a muslim country, anyone can see that is asking for trouble but he was prepared to do so, he got his reward... why worry about him? Isn't he sat playing table tennis with jesus and his chums right now?
That's like saying a black person in the 50's shouldn't
sit at the front of the bus. If they get killed doing it, they were just asking for it.

Religion is fudged up, but people are free to believe what they will, countries are free to make what laws and govern how they see fit, you may not agree with those rules, go vote them out... oh, you can't, it's not your country.

No one is saying it's right to murder someone for what the believe but this guy put himself in that position, he was playing with fire and got burnt.
Again, you don't believe in murder, but he shouldn't have put himself in this position?

And to think, they whine and cry and throw fits when Americans voice concern, dismay, or disdain for their backwards ways.

Allah was supposed to be about love, wasn't he?

No, not really.

The Muhammad as revealed by the Koran, Hadiths and historical records was anything but a man of peace.

• He fought 8 battles, took part in 28 other jihads and planned another 38 which were carried out in his name by others.

• He also massacred a tribe of 800 Jews, conquered cities, led raids into Christian lands and assassinated political opponents and critics.

Timeline of Muhammad's Life (A.D)

570 - Born in Mecca
576 - Orphaned upon death of mother
595 - Marries Kadijah - older, wealthy widow
610 - Reports first revelations from angel at age of 40
619 - Protector uncle dies
622 - Emigrates from Mecca to Medina (the Hijra)
623 - Orders raids on Meccan caravans
624 - Battle of Badr (victory)
624 - Evicts Qaynuqa Jews from Medina
624 - Orders the assassination of Abu Afak
624 - Orders the assassination of Asma bint Marwan
624 - Orders the assassination of Ka'b al-Ashraf
625 - Battle of Uhud (defeat)
625 - Evicts Nadir Jews
627 - Battle of the Trench (victory)
627 - Massacre of the Qurayza Jews
628 - Signing of the Treaty of Hudaibiya with Mecca
628 - Destruction and subjugation of the Khaybar Jews
629 - Orders first raid into Christian lands at Muta (defeat)
630 - Conquers Mecca by surprise (along with other tribes)
631 - Leads second raid into Christian territory at Tabuk (no battle)
632 - Dies.

• Muhammad was also a slaver who enslaved conquered people and kept his own slaves.

"The apostle of Allah imprisoned the Qurayza in Medina while trenches were dug in the market-place. Then he sent for the men and had their heads struck off so that they fell in the trenches. They were brought out in groups, and among them was Kab, the chief of the tribe. In number, they amounted to six or seven hundred, although some state it to have been eight or nine hundred. All were executed. One man turned to his people and said, 'It matters not! By God's will, the children of Israel were destined for this massacre!’ Then he seated himself and his head was struck off...

...Now the apostle distributed the property of the Banu Qurayza, as well as their women and children, to the Muslims, reserving one-fifth for himself.Every horseman received three shares, one for himself and two for his steed, and every foot soldier one share. There were thirty-six horses present on the day of the Qurayza. The apostle dispatched an emissary to Najd with the prisoners, to barter them as slaves in exchange for horses and camels. The apostle of Allah selected one of the Jewish women, Rayhana, for himself, and she remained with him as his slave until she died. He had suggested marriage to her, that she should wear the veil (to separate her from all other persons, as his wives did), but she replied, 'Rather allow me to remain thy slave; it will be more easy for me, and for thee.'"

From page 84 & 85 of Ibn Ishaq's autobiography about Muhammad

Luckily, most Muslims would be repelled if they understood what the Koran and Hadith really show Muhammad to be.

Unfortunately, Jihadists are in fact following Muhammad in both spirit and deed.

The Christian Church killed far more "heretics" during the Inquisition than any other religion.

You are mistaken.

More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined.

Muhammad himself beheaded 800 Jews.

The Koran mentions the episode

33:26 He also brought down their allies among the people of the scripture from their secure positions, and threw terror into their hearts. Some of them you killed, and some you took captive.

33:27 He made you inherit their land, their homes, their money, and lands you had never stepped on. God is in full control of all things.

Note the above source is The authorized translation of the Koran.

For a better explanation of what the Suras refer to, please see

33:26 Those People of the Scripture who allied with the clans (despite having a treaty with you), have been taken out from their forts and strongholds, and panic has struck their hearts. Some of them were killed in the battle and others were taken prisoners of war. (The Jewish tribe, Bani Quraizah had violated the treaty, although another Jewish tribe, Bani Nadir of Khyber had also been among the confederates).

A much more comprehensive explanation is that of Ibn Ishaq, who recounts Muahhamad supervising the beheading of 800 Jewish POWs.

Ibn Ishaq was a devout Muslim historian and was the author of the first biography about Muhammad - Sirat Rasul Allah - "Life of God's Messenger" in 768 AD.

Pages 84 & 85 provide details

So Muhammad himself massacred Jews and enslaved Jewish women and children. As mentioned in the Koran.

According to Islamic doctrine, Muhammad led a 'perfect life'.

i think you did not read my comment... or you deliberately don't want understand it, this is your problem if you want ignore it because the one who write the quote was a military... if it was a secular one he will tell to Rummy's as you say to go to hell ! but he did not.

in fact it's a waist of time...religious orientation doesn't define the US military any more than yours does, i'm not religious i don''t belive in religion.

The same people that were killing you and your friends in Iraq were redeployed in Libya and got paid and armed by your government.
