My first name is the most common name in America. I can't be in a group of 10 or more without someone having it, and it could be male or female. My
brother's is probably the second most common, and my dad, the third. Only my mother is fairly unique.
Our last name is actually a minor noble name in Wales. There are a few famous people with it (and yes, they are distantly related). One's a
well-known, if not instantly known character actor of about a generation ago...another was an aviatrix who actually did what Earhart set out to do,
and yet is less famous for it, hehe....
(and of course, the previously mentioned author).
I can trace our family back to coming over here in the 1800's (1807 to be exact). I lucked out, and found where one of my relatives had done all the
research for me. (it's quite impressive how complete it is).
