I have seen a large number of good movies philosophical, eugenics, new world order type movies but fail to remember the names of them. I would like a list of good movies. Some that I can remember off the top of my head.

I immediately thought of a movie called LOGAN'S RUN. Also SOILANT GREEN and 1984 might fit the bill. Basically I think the common thread amongst such movies is a society that has become creepily tyranical. Oh, one more I just thought of starring Christian Bale called EQUALIBRIUM (awesome movie! Awesome...check it out). Peace...

I love these threads, i've been hunting down these films myself over the past month, heres a couple of the best ones i've seen that have yet to be mentioned:

Children Of Men

In 2027, in a chaotic world in which humans can no longer procreate, a former activist agrees to help transport a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea, where her child's birth may help scientists save the future of humankind.
imdb

Great film, touches on an interesting side to political activism that rarely gets seen in these types of films.

THX-1138

Set in the 25th century, the story centers around a man and a woman who rebel against their rigidly controlled society.
imdb

Solaris - 1972

The Solaris mission has established a base on a planet that appears to host some kind of intelligence..

imdb

That should keep you busy for a while, there is a remake of Solaris from 2002 but it misses the meaning of the 1972 film.

Heres a couple more of my head for you to search for;

12 monkeys
Fear and loathing in Las Vegas (a lot deeper than people seem to believe)
V for Vendetta
Brave New World
