letter from sheriff association...

Here in Oregon I got a snail mail letter today from the sheriff''s association asking for donation money. I guess the depression is taking it's toll eh? However, they are saying they need stiffer penalty, better laws, better facilities bla bla. Basically using the usual boogieman scare tactic. Why not just use the 236 year old laws we already have in place?? You break in my home the last thing you will ever see, is the muzzle flash of my Mossberg 590.
