Nope... That moon partion doesn't mention anything about focusing problem.

Like I said after certain distance difference in angle which light hits the mirror is negligible.
And that deciding distance comes before moon:
Hubble Shoots the Moon: hubblesite.org...

The problem is fast movement of moon, bigger magnification (or should I say sharper details) would need much shorter exposure.
